Squamish Sept. 07

I'll be in town for a few days and will be riding xc/trail stuff that saturday followed by a quick hike up the chief on sunday morning.
Would be great to have somebody along for safety and company. Any takers?

NSMB - 2013 - Hardtail Build thread

just refreshed my 7y old chameleon with a new fork, wheels and cockpit to make it more of an all-rounder. first ride was today for 3 hours of xc and trails. i am impressed with the x-fusion.

Sun Peaks!!!

Yup…by NATURES design, that Mtn is biased to the intermediate+ user.

I too thought it strange that any trail would be closed right now. The snow has been gone for a while. Lack of prep hrs or attention to drainage perhaps???

Actually the snow lasted a long time this spring. a record snowpack and cold spring time temperatures made sure of that. it also rained almost every day until a week ago.
then add a lot of bugkill and you have a lot of closed trails.

Some of the nicest riding I've seen in a while...

Very nice video.
Perfect timing too as i was restricted to light xc riding for the past few years due to injury and am just now getting back into more technical riding.

Concusions

show your son the consequences of concussion, maybe he will realize its better to take it easier in whatever he is doing to himself.

if i had to guess, i'd say i had 8 concussions thus far, mostly from skiing, but the worst ones from biking.
in 1999 i had a pretty bad one where i was out for 9 min (severe concussions start at being out cold for 5 min or more). i still feel the effects from it…spontaneous headaches and occasionally impaired vision.

What's Your Hometown?

Bad Iburg, Germany

me and the boys stoned people we didnt like in 3rd grade from across the street after school. our attempt to burn down a cornfield failed and my best friend broke my nose with a tennis racket.

all in all the best time of my life. :coo:

computer guys!! monitor help!

hmm..23" is an oddball size. i have yet so see one that size. the 24" lcd's are getting pricey, unless you shop around on ebay, i doubt you will find one for a mere 500 bucks.
the 22" screens would fit your budget much better, but they usually have a resolution of 1680x1050 vs 1920x1200 you find on 24" and larger sceens.

i've got a feeling you would have to compromise some res/workspace and get a 22" or up your budget and get 24"'s.

ps: i have used several samsung and viewsonic models until i got a LG for the first time and i wont go back. the picture is more crisp and clear than samsungs and viewsonics.
