6 MTB Hacks That May Change Your Life* - Oct. 11, 2018, 12:44 p.m.

•14" of commercial carpet off the roll at Ace hardware is great to stand on while you change in/ out of bike gear. Doesn't pick up pine needles like using the floor-mat of the car.

•Photo copy of license & Insurance card in pack, with ICE contact phone numbers is good to have on solo rides.

•1/2 Liter platypus folding water bottle on DH Park days. Fill it at the bottom, drink on the lift, fold into your pocket. I drink one each lift ride. Great for keeping you from getting dehydrated.

• Tiny bike park pack. Small tool, C02 and tire Plugs. You won't even know it's there. Could save a LONG walk down.

What do Trump's Tariffs Mean for Bike Prices? - Sept. 26, 2018, 3:44 p.m.

Hey Cam, with  many carbon bikes being made in Taiwan, is there an impact on those? I know China is adamant about Taiwan being China, but are the tariffs the same?

e*thirteen TRS+ 9-46t Cassette - May 4, 2018, 12:29 p.m.

I've got one, my set-up didn't go quite as smooth... It would drop from the biggest cog down 3 gears and stall.. (new chain, new chain ring).

My Nomad 3 had a 2.5mm spacer on the drive side.. to nail the chain line, a 1.25mm would be on each side.. I moved the spacer to the non-drive side, pulling the chainline in 2.5mm and that helped a TON.. Only dropped off the top once, and that was on a messy shift.. I found Eagle to be a bit more crisp and precise.. but for the $ I'm pretty stoked and love the range..   If anyone has any shifting issues. look to see if a spacer could be moved..

Mad props Remy. I hope it's a great year for you, including Rampage this time!

Race Face Atlas Flat Pedal Review - Jan. 2, 2018, 11:56 a.m.

I have these and they're very good. I think my next set will be OneUp for slightly larger platform.. I tend to ride with my feet outboard a little and they move around a bit in rough sections like AJ alluded to.

Bearclaw Sends it in 360 At Rampage - Dec. 5, 2017, 10:47 a.m.

360 view did not make this better.. more confusing, actually.. would be better if it held a forward vantage point.

Kurt Sorge's Burly (2nd) Winning Rampage Run - Oct. 23, 2017, 2:42 p.m.

What I liked the most, was seeing how stoked Aggy was.. he's come SOO Close to winning it there!!

Of course, that was an amazing run as well.. Just good to see Aggy pumped, in spite of his results. I keep hoping he'll get a win out there! I guess this isn't the year either.. heal up.

Pinion C-Line Gearbox - Sept. 20, 2017, 9:55 a.m.

How about pedaling drag/friction?

Seems like a great option for DH, but for a pedal bike, the drag could be a bit of a drag...

Crankbrothers Mallet DH Pedals - Sept. 13, 2017, 2:53 p.m.

Do you get any rocking, side to side?  It seems the cleat hits the spring in the middle, but the shoe doesn't hit the inside/outside of the pedal enough to support it.. the result is a wonky wobbly feeling.

I have the Mallet E, with the thicker side pads installed, with a pair of VXi Clipless 510's.. Coming off flats, I was hoping they would give the support of flats, while being clipped in. But I just felt like I was rocking around in them..

I just couldn't get along with them, and ended up going back to flats.

Do Plus Tires Need Plus Rims? - July 26, 2017, 2:55 p.m.

I flat out didn't like the 2.3" DHF (EXO , 3c) on the front (25mm wheels).. it was breaking loose on fast flat turns. Tried it for 2 rides and took it off and got the 2.5 DHF WT. SO much better..

that's when I noticed the 2.3 HR2 didn't match the grip that the 2.5 DHF WT had.. so I got a matching DHR2 WT for the back.. super happy with them both.

I have not tried them on wider rims, not sure they're needed.. Even though the WT is "supposed to be" for 30-36mm rims.. they're damn good on 25mm.

Do Plus Tires Need Plus Rims? - July 26, 2017, 1 p.m.

Hey Niels.

I have 25mm internal rims with a 2.5 DHF WT on front and 2.4 DHR2 WT on the back. They are Amazing!

I had 2.3 DHF and 2.3 HR2 and they felt drifty compared to my 2.5's from my 26" bike.. so put the 2.5" DHF WT on the front, and I could really feel that the 2.3 HR2 in back was breaking loose, where the DHF WT was holding tight on the front.. Put the DHR2 WT on the back, it was a match made in heaven.

I do aggressive riding in Norther California, rocky, downieville, etc. .. They are great and the exo sidewalls are great..  I run 22 psi front, 27 rear.

I hope this helps
