This article was clearly meant to draw attention to the experience of women in mountain biking, by switching the gender roles to showcase the challenges they face in participation and outfitting. Satire, and effective satire at that. If that is enough to send the Offendibots into a short-circuit frenzy, then they've got some bad programming. It's as if they couldn't come up with this themselves, so they need to be offended to reclaim the higher ground. Good grief.

I'm offended by this article. I'm soooooo sick of having to ride a man-bike that is really just a woman's bike with a different paint job, wide bars, and a narrow saddle. This is the kind of condascending crap that prevents more men from participating.

Weird. He doesn't seem to build up as much speed as I expected. It would be interesting to see a profile shot so that the actual slope can be viewed. From the descent rate, I get the impression that the slope is not as vertical as it appears head on. Still, that is one of the craziest lines I have seen ever. Incredible control. Would be interesting to know his set up - tires, suspension, brakes, underpants.

If they gave half a crap about people with mobility issues, they would build more green easy access trails and adapted needs parking at the trail heads. This is an absolutely garbage argument, and the money-grubbing ebike sell outs are trying to hide behind a few people with medical problems to push their motors down our throats. Any person that can handle a hard-access black or blue trail, can easily pedal closer and easier stuff. At what point do we simply build an escalator to the trail head? There might be a small number of people with special medical situations that can and want to tackle the gnarl in the outback. If that is a legitimate problem, then they should be able to secure medical professional approval to ride their motorized device as needed, no different than letting certified assistance dogs on transit = not just any hack with a pitbull - you catch my drift? This idea of ebikes to free the differently abled is offensive to people with actual disabilities who don't even have an accessible green space they can enjoy.

Worst comparison ever. Horseturds. Snowboards have no motor. The idea this will help trails is so perversely unfounded and speculative, you simply cannot make such as a statement. If you look at any type of motorized vehicles on trails, you immediately see they bring increased trail impact. You will have a minority of e-bike sell outs doing more than their share of damage, and very possibly giving NOTHING in return. Help open NEW trails?Are you serious? Are you invested in the stock or something? Do you have any clue how hard it is to get trail permits the way it is WITHOUT ebikes. Another total BS point is that ebikes will draw in people that don't bike. Puh-lease! They are marketing this DIRECTLY at current riders as replacements for their bikes. Pretty much every point you make is wrong, or a load of fabricated garbage.

Cam is great, Gord is great, Switch is great, JJ is great,,,,the list goes on,,,pretty much everyone that replied here has posted helpful intelligent things at some point for the purpose of enriching discussion here. I have no criticism of any of these people. I am personally grateful for not only this board, but the entirety of riders that I live around. I love you all. The last thing anyone here should do is criticize other riders or community builders.

If a lawsuit is vexatious, doesn't that mean the person that tries to start the suit has to pay the person they are suing? I'm guessing that if a person keeps coming back for more, and is egging on the conversation and handing out their own slander, that they don't really have much to work with? I don't know. I'm not even an internet lawyer. If this was true, wouldn't every person on the internet be sued now? Maybe if we lived in 'Merica.

Matthew Bond is simply not fit for public office. And Mr. Colbert intends to end his political ambitions before we have more malfeasance etc. from Bond.
Mr. Colbert is prepared to use any and all lawful authority and all legal process available to remove Councillor Bond from office or at least prevent him from successfully running for office again. Mr. Colbert's resources are vast, and his knowledge of both the legal system and the political system deep. To date Bond has misused the public treasury of the DNV to defend against Mr. Colbert in court. Never again. Next time around, Mr. Colbert will start off the legal process by blocking Bond's access to the public treasury and blocking Bond's special privileges with others.
Remember please - entirely legal process, and with lawful authority. And Mr. Colbert is prepared to use the same legal process and lawful authority to steamroller over anyone who comes to Councillor Bond's assistance :-) exactly as he has done recently with Mayor Richard Walton who is presently being investigated by the BC Professional Accountants for irregularities.

I too have tried following this thread, as I use these trails with my kids and this seems important. I am puzzled as to why this Mr. Scrooge fellow continues his character assassination of Matthew. Is he hoping to turn bikers against him? I mean the community has already spoken on that matter. It seems he is trying to discourage bikers from working with their leaders. What is he afraid of? Is he is afraid of bikers being organized and anyone other than him in charge? I really wish this thread would stay "on point".
