Yeah if you're going to rely on it, you should certainly understand the risks. In a study of over 4000 women, 5% using the app got pregnant, compared to 7% who were on the pill. However, the pill is actually 99.5% effective when properly used. So the app only fares better when compared to how the pill is typically used, not properly used.

Interesting idea to link basal temperature to an app. You end up having to use condoms 10 days of the month as your method of protection though I assume.

Yep, that's true. It seems like a decent option if you had been relying solely on condoms to begin with, or if you wanted to get off the pill to avoid the side effects.

Wrong. The correct way to ride across the Granville St bridge is to ride on the roadway. There are signs at every entrance to the bridge cautioning drivers that the roadway is shared with cyclists. The sidewalk is not 12 ft wide, more like 6 and it would be an offence to ride on it, just like any other sidewalk downtown.

That said, riding across that bridge in traffic is terrifying and I won't be doing it again.

I had a chat with one of a local trail guy this week and we had an idea: set up a series of trail days over the course of a year on say, Bookwus and Grannies with the intention would be to do a bit of tidying, cleaning up major erosion areas and restore some of the old continuity but otherwise leave the trail as is. Invite all the tech-gnar-lamenters from this thread and if any one of them attends less than 7/10 trail days he gets to shut up forever.

haha, I'd go for sure! But those trails are in mint condition so I'm not sure what purpose a trail day would accomplish ;)

Hm I wonder if it's still there then. I rode Digger a few months ago and didn't see it but maybe (hopefully) I missed it.

haha, yeah it's a sweet bike eh! That's my cousin on his 2001 Norco Launch. The photo was taken in 2015. The feature rides just fine on my low BB Devinci Spartan as well, but it doesn't look as cool when I ride it!

You would probably like this feature as well. I rode it about a month ago, so hopefully it's still there! I think it's near the bottom of Pink Starfish, or somewhere on Boundary. I usually ride those trails consecutively so I can't remember.
