Can't be 100% sure but I think I saw some hanging at the Cove on the weekend.
I have to agree if you aren't planning on lots of rain riding stick with calipers.
Shameless plug (I don't know what size you are):
I am reducing the asking price to $2650. Very little km's and never rain ridden.
save your money and get these….
larger opening and way more solid than the usual hook.
Now there could be future plans that haven't been announced but I don't really understand this small parallel section of the trail either.
It was created to separate directional (climbing) traffic from Shorn but riders will have already climbed up a significant section of C-buster which is "downhill primary" and no different than climbing up another 100 feet of Shorn?
I have to agree with Drew on this one. It's on everyone to be in control no matter the orientation of the trail and knowing that there are other trail users; bikers/hikers/walkers who may be able to climb a trail that you think is "downhill only".
I would even venture to say that sections of Salamander, where there are riders travelling downhill into each other on a tight corner, are more dangerous than a climbing AA where the sight lines are great for a climb.
My tuppence as a Seymour local…
Just picked up one of these which is the same as the one offered at MEC….
Looks like they have a higher quality wrench as well if you are willing to source your own bits.
