Fromme 2014 Conditions

Trail dick has moved onto a new trail. Tree's dragged on to the new Skid Row Climbing Trail. There was about 5 or 6 dumps of crap on the trail. Thanks to the Runner who passed me to help clean them up.

In the bottom image - the logs were actually spiked together, making it a pretty heavy lift to get off the trail.

What is this gnomer that people speak of…? If asking about trails is taboo, please disregard this comment.

I don't think asking about this one is taboo, as all the signage about it being closed makes it obvious. On the bottom half of forever after - look for the sign and the tape about a closed trail.

I think gnoamer gets shut down for the wet season now.

Well there is basically a forest dumped on the entrance, and half way down the trail. There is also a bunch of DNV signage saying the trail is closed.

Severed Trail Day Sunday Oct 5th

Thanks for all the improvements on Severed.

I'm pretty sure Skip lives in a gold hole somewhere along Severed. He's always out there working on it! Shoveling gold in the dark on a Tuesday night!

Thanks, trail looks great!

Must have been windy on the shore yesterday.

Tree down on slippery salamander kind of half way through the trail.
Tree down on forever after, on the top half, guessing 100 - 200meters in.

sourcing a Gemini Duo light

i have the Duo got it thru Life Cycles

I've been using the DUO for my helmet and run the Olympia on my bars for 2 winters now. Found that the 2 plastic on the 2 cell battery pack starts to disintegrate, and has needed some electrical tape to keep it together.

Did file a warranty issue with Gemini about it, and they were quick to send me a replacement. The replacement has had the same issue.

The Olympia also flaked out on me for a while after a couple of very wet rides, but it start working again after it dried out, and hasn't had any issues since then.

I placed my original order and the warranty through their web site, the product was shipped from Hong Kong.

Best Place to get bike serviced

Another vote for the Dave at the Bicycle Hub. He get's it done! I've never been disappointed with the quality of service I receive there.

Grumpy Old Schoolers

Another thing that makes us grumpy.

meh - all the Strava hate. I'm pretty sure people who ride like dinks, rode like dinks long before Strava came onto the scene.

I agree! Severed is awesome these days. Severed, Shorn, lower Cbuster, Crosstown, Salamander… is a super fun, mostly downhill lap for minimal effort pedaling up.

Crosstown - which trail is this ?

Thanks!

Huge props to the builders!
