if you're a weakling who rides at a moderate pace and doesn't race, you'll be fine with a clutch d and n/w ring
That's fighting talk! I'm a weakling on long boring forest service roads (or Old Fucking Buck), but not too bad on technical climbs. The technical climbs (where they exist on the Shore) are why I went with a 30t chainring. I'm a cack handed moderately/reasonably fast heavy lairy beast on the downs though. You should see my lines though, so so wrong, even when I try. And that's why I'm concerned about dropping a chain.
