2017 Spot Mayhem 29 - Sept. 18, 2017, 3:51 p.m.

Just FYI, the link on Perry's name to his instagram at the beginning of the article is spelled wrong and it's a super spammy site I was just redirected to, not instagram.

2018 Kona Process Carbon - Sept. 13, 2017, 12:32 p.m.

Good luck with that. Declaring it at the border, as you are legally obligated to do, would result in a 13.2% import duty, plus (in BC) a 5% GST charge.

Canada: CR/DL is $7,999 + GST = $8,398.95

US: CR/DL is $5,999, conversion to CAD = $7,317.04 + 13.2% import duty + GST = $8,697.04

So that's $300 more, plus gas and time to drive down there and back. No thanks, I'll support my local bike shop instead.

2018 Kona Process Carbon - Sept. 12, 2017, 9:43 a.m.

It's the same set up as the carbon Hei Hei. Spare hanger is attached to the cable routing port, and sits inside the downtube.

Specialized SWAT CC Steerer Tube Tool - Aug. 21, 2017, 10:42 a.m.

Specialized have oneupped OneUp with this one. I like that you don't have to cut threads into your fork to install this tool.

Talking E-bikes With Uncle Dave - July 26, 2017, 9:42 a.m.

To be considered a Pedelec/eBike/Motor Assisted Cycle in BC they must be:

  • Electric only motor
  • Only assist power provided to pedaling, no "throttle" button/switch
  • 32km/h maximum assist speed
  • 500w maximum power output
Talking E-bikes With Uncle Dave - July 26, 2017, 9:35 a.m.

Today I learned that a Segway is a motorcycle since it has two wheels and a motor. Cool!

But seriously, they are not motor bikes. Go throw your leg over one, hit the throttle and go! Oh, wait, you can't.

9 times out of 10, the people pissing and moaning about them have never ridden one.

According to the BC Motor Vehicle Act, they are legally defined as Motor Assisted Cycles. Start calling them motor bikes or motorcycles as soon as they start shipping with internal combustion engines that are bigger than 50cc.
