Monica is finally getting her wish. No mountain bikers in Mountain View Park, it's going to get houses instead of the evil stunt bikers and their trails.

Umm don't they all ready have enduros with more climbing in them? I think they call them super d's and how popular are they at the moment? They also have multiple lap races with climbing In them and they call them XC.

I think with the popularity of enduros the format is pretty spot on. Shit they even have me interested and with that I've been trying to improve my climbing. Up more importance on the climbing an I will likely just forget it.

It's still going to be a long way from Super-D or XC. Could really just be splitting hairs or over thinking it.

The idea is to discourage people from getting to the base of the climb on a transition stage and just getting off and walking, usually it's not because of ability it's because the rider has decided to run a DH drivetrain and DH wheels/tires on their trail bike for full downhill smashing. Riders shouldn't be planning to walk the up, they should be planning to ride but if have to walk due to being tired that should be acceptable.

Make a bit more sense? Nobody wants it to be XC.

looks that way

as a bonus i think manitou recently started using the same hardware as everyone else, so by going with a newer model you may save yourself some headaches in sourcing reducers off the bat and du bushings down the line

the only current downside seems to be service, apparently there's no one this side of ontario currently working on manitou suspension

edit: when i was looking to buy an isx-6 they were available with two different types of dampers: spv and instrinsic. i don't remember the details but spv was supposed to be teh suck and intrinsic teh awesome - i can't vouch for the former but i can for the latter. might be out of date, but its worth checking what system they're using now in the swingers before pulling the trigger

Zac at Trident here in N.Van is the Manitou guru.

Tried - use to be a trail leader in NSMBA, far far too political, moved on.

Sorry for starting this rant - as I said it was from some runners comments. Time I let this go. Thanx for listening to my whine. Things will be what they will.

What are those runners going to do with your 1 foot wide teeter that's six feet up in the air???

Think that would get added to the Knee Knacker? Time taken off your run for hitting the teeter line?

I find it interesting that the folks defending the blue/black conversion all seem to work for/with TAP or the NSMBA. So…maybe woodwork lovers should get involved , or maybe TAP isn't reflecting what riders want. (Though it's probably both)

WAIT WAIT STOP THE PRESSES.

Are you coming to the conclusion that perhaps if you want to affect the outcome one should actually get involved?

This is a new revelation. I don't think anyone in any of these dead horse threads has EVER said that before.

Ground breaking stuff.

So I can make it one foot wide, 6 feet high with a totter midway as long as it's built really strong? Cool. What are the standards?

They took out a simple A-frame that could be ridden by a large average of riders, then you want to replace it with something from the Dangerous Dan era? Yep sounds logical. Dumbass.

Best defence is a strong offence.

When on the ropes attach attach attach, or change the subject.

City boys….

Oh Thad, regale us unfortunate city boys with stories of your mountain man prowess.

Tell us how much better you are at manly things due to how you've chosen to live in a remote cabin hunting and killing your own food. How you build trails vastly superior to anything us mere city folk can build.

Poll: Which topic should be banned????

You need to add the wheel size debate into this poll.

I voted no more Dumbing Down the Shore threads. If you feel the need to comment first go find on of the previous threads, actually READ it, then comment on it.

Another gravel path... Courtesy of MEC and NSMBA

The hard line is too hard. The easy line is too easy.

I want someone to go build a trail to exactly suit my needs while I go skiing all winter.

Same crap.

It's not hate, it's being sick of the same old crap over and over again. Five threads alone with the same "sweet new bike" title. More threads if you do a search with the new bike propped against the garage door. Each one the bestest like ever dude.
