Mark Wood vs the NSMBA

You would not like duck.

Duck fat does not taste good.

Now, goose fat, or more precisely, the liver of a goose that has been fattened, is foie gras and it is very tasty for those people who eat meat.

Species, breeds and sex used

Geese
Traditionally, foie gras was produced from special breeds of geese. However, by 2004, geese accounted for less than 10% of the total global foie gras production[55] and by 2014 only 5% of total French production.[56] Goose breeds used in modern foie gras production are primarily the grey Landes goose (Anser anser)[56] and the Toulouse goose.[57][58][better source needed]

Ducks
In 2014, ducks accounted for 95% of foie gras production.[56] The breeds primarily used are the Muscovy duck (Cairina moschata)[56] (also called the Barbary duck) and the hybrid cross of a male Muscovy duck and a female Pekin duck (Anas platyrhynchos domestica) called the Mulard duck.[56] This hybrid is sterile and is therefore sometimes referred to as a "mule" duck. Mulards are estimated to account for about 35% of all foie gras consumed in the US.[59] About 95% of duck foie gras production from France comes from force fed Mulards and the remaining 5% from the Muscovy duck.[60]

Breanne, maybe it will help to think of the duck fat like butter, or shortening, or lard, or any other fat you cook with. It's a wonderful delicacy, too - better than any of the abovementioned fats! It crisps food up with a deliciously golden color and rich taste.

Hope brake parts?

NRG in Nelson is the Hope distributor for Canada.

Those 6 pot things had a funky special mount, finding one is going to be problematic.

Grumpy Old Schoolers

Re: what gets the vocal minority upset - although a feature that has been removed might spark an emotional response I think (and at least from my personal point of view) it's the modification of an entire trail from a constantly technical challenging trail to a trail that requires little rider concentration (ignoring the aspect of speed) that is the concern.

Please inventory all of these historic tech moves that have been lost.

I'd like to see a factual post of legit tech moves and trails that have been lost.

Frumpy Middle Schoolers.

True Old School is loam lines and a few little basic bridges. The original trails are still out there untouched and in fine shape.

One thing I have learned in my old age is that trail difficulty doesn't have to mean slow and technically challenging. Speed is a challenge in itself. Trails can lose the chop and the chunder yet still be hard to hard if you're pushing the pace a little.

You must be on crack?

Only 4 foot deep eroded creek beds can be considered challenging, or 4 inch wide skinnies 6 feet off the ground. All trails must comply with this.

Update: 2014 Seymour Work Plan - Trail Decommissions

How much of that plan will they actually accomplish? 5%?

Anyone order from tbsbikeparts.com?

Selection kinda sucks.

Curious how they've wrangled OEM level parts to sell at retail.

I am sure a few bike shops will be emailing their Shimano rep to complain.

Fromme parking open house

So when you're going for a ride/hike/dogwalk at those times, you'll be dodging cars and breathing in fumes and dust.

Solution: build better trail access that is not on the road.

Build a nice wide gravel multi-use trail 100 yards off Mountain Hwy to the east that runs from the first gate to the second gate.

Upper Crippler, Bookwus, Grannies, Skull, Digger, UOC, and lower Executioner are all still sanctioned and open trails.

The talk in the OP about loosing lower Execitioner is wrong. You don't need to flow down into Dreamweaver, you can still cross over Dreamweaver and ride the steep gnar of Lower Executioner down to the BP.

Pink Starfish is a temporary closure. The political battle has been put on hold, the DNV was almost ready to issuing a permit but some vocal opposition had them pull back.

Purging of Fisheries Research

Breaking news….politicians are up to no good again.

Reality….from my uncle who is far more educated anything involving DFO then KenN could ever pretend to be. From what he has told me over the years, DFO and such have been manipulating data for years. And he is not surprised t all.

Someone with way more time on their hand than I do needs to figure out who enduramil's uncle is and start some public accusations that the DFO has been falsifying and manipulating data for 30 years.

If it's true these people should be held accountable for their actions.

Or it's just enduramil talking out his ass over some random comments his uncle made after a few too many beers.

Options for New 26" Trail Bikes?

Maybe Kram just sucks at riding steep trails?

Stop riding like the guys in NSX1 hanging off the back of a hardtail and you'll stop getting a tire in the ass.
