Today everything was running pretty sweet. It's amazing what a difference a little bit of moisture overnight makes. Plus there were no big line ups which is surprising for a weekend
I got some confirmation on some of the early bird bonuses. The website is a bit confusing. Looks I'm about to dump some more $$$ on a bike park pass having just renewed my next season's winter pass. It ain't cheap to have a good time ;D At least not in the recreational activities that I've chosen. The only plus is that I now qualify for the Senior's rate.. Yay!!
The bonus TOTW ticket & 1 x BAF ticket is for those who purchase an unlimited Bike Park pass, whereas for the 10 Day Pass you will receive the 1 x bonus day to be used before June 23
I'll probably go for the 10day pass. The website is a bit confusing as far as the early season bonuses go.
On one page they say 1 bring a friend ticket & 1 top of the world ticket:
On another page they say 1 early season day:
So on a 5/10day pass, do you get all of those bonuses or just the early season day?
Vengeance was top tier in its day, like in 2010. I had one too. Pros: great chassis, stiff, reliable. Cons: damping is old school. A newer fork is light years ahead in damping feel/performance, but that doesn't really translate to speed. Almost every new fork will outshine it in compression damping but at the same time it seems mostly every new fork creaks.
I agree.. if you have tried any of the newer forks like fox with newer rc2/fit4 damper or rs with charger damper, the difference in performance over their older counterparts is quite dramatic. But you do have weigh the cost benefits of upgrading an older bike vs applying the $$$ towards a newer bike
I recently bought one of these shirts from Mark's, paid close to $50 all in, but oh em gee its so good. I have been riding with it in sub 10 degree weather and its kept me toasty. Stays warm even when you sweat. Plus, it fits snug but doesn't look like a skinsuit.
I also picked up one of those merino blend half zips from Crapco. Its okay, but not great. Worth the sub $20 though.
The merino blend zips are only 11% merino. The crew neck True North are full merino, warmer [HTML_REMOVED] better value.
Some of the best riding conditions that I've had all season long. The rain sure has helped to create the best hero dirt ever. Tacky goodness yummy ;)
And yeah too bad garbo chair was closed cuz the gondy lineups were redonkulous.
Try seeing if your bike will fit in with the tires facing backwards? My road bike was unable to fit this way but some others have had luck
This method works with my road bike. Uses 2 of the prongs to support the bike by the handle bars. You'll only be able to carrying 2 road bikes using this method on your nsr4.
Decided to take a chance on one. Figure I cant go wrong with Mec's no quibble return policy. If it turns out that I don't like it, it's nice to know I can return it. So far it's seems like a nice ride and the Ui2 shifting is so slick. Now just need to get it out for a few long rides.
Was looking at some of the road bikes that MEC carries. They carried the Ghost line of road bikes that seem to be quite well spec'ed for the price. Anyone have one of these or want to share their opinions on these bikes? There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of reviews out there for the Ghost Lector road bikes. The one that has my interest is the Lector Race Pro model.
I have 1st gen Reverb which was supposed to be the problem one, but it's been running flawlessly since day 1 for over 2 years now. I've been almost expecting it to fail because of all the reports I hear from others, but it keeps on ticking :D
Yup. Ive been stung before and know how severe a reaction can be. I carry benadryl in my pack. I don't care what others have to say about it making you drowsy cuz it can mean the difference between being able to make it back out or not making it out at all
Wasp reactions are by far the worst we've seen in the corridor in years. Every day in emerg I'm seeing people reacting worse than ever before and even some first-time anaphylaxis.
