2010/11 Seymour Snow Line?

bridal path has a bit of snow, but totally rideable, stix and stones totally clear, bottle top snow, but totally doable, things were crusty this morning, a little more work than usual to get back up Fishermans

sweet!
good snow tires!
colder does seem better for traction -
Friday was a bit slick on pipeline!

bit of snow at gate level, then just gets deeper and deeper! did pipeline this morning - i didn't even get first tracks! (which on a bike is not such a bad thing). Could ride up in wheel ruts made by trucks going up mtn highway, after pipeline it was definitely deeper - maybe 6" plus, less rideable. Snow on wood is sometimes unpredictable!

Runners - THIS is what I'm wondering about.

I've been wondering about the minimalist/barefoot thing too. I think it would also depend on what surface you usually run on…rough, rocky trails - may be better to stick with usual shoes…lots of pavement running may be harder on the feet and legs too. i'd be interested to know how some runners have fared. I like my brooks cascadias for long trail runs.

Survey stakes around Mountain View

I didn't notice the flagging tape…

Did see a new trail sign for Griffen climb though!

Survey stakes around Mountain View

ha! good vid. But back to the flagging tape, just rode through there after a nice 7th and crinkum this morning. Flagging tape is disconcerting; any info out there?

Where to live???

upper lynn valley, you can be on the trails within 10-15 minutes from your door, on either fromme or seymour. great for running/hiking, too.

Fromme Mtn, DNV trail work updates

After finally mastering that exit…! It always was one of the sketchiest parts of the ride out… nice to have a safer way to finish up. Thanks for all the good work, James. Nice to meet you up there the other day.

Fromme Mtn, DNV trail work updates

Looking forward to the improvements! Maybe put another "trail construction ahead" sign right at the construction site or cones or something…we rode the corner yesterday and were surprised by a few key rocks missing - had to do a bit of an unplanned dismount to avoid disaster. Had an outstanding ride on the beautifully upgraded Ladies.

Fromme Parking Warning

yeah, if you park any where below coleman ie) Nottingham, Dempsey,
Upper Hoskins, it only adds a couple minutes to your climb. Go up thru
Upper Lynn school yard, thru to McNair and you're on Mountain Highway.
There's always parking space.
