Books (not Boobs)

highly recommended, well written with a dark sense of humour similiar to alot of Coen Brothers films.

Excellent book! Highly recommended.

I have a CCDBA on a Mojo Hd and an Aurum. I would agree with grahammtbr on the bottom-out thing. Compared to the RP23 or something like a Vivid Coil, there isn't the same kind of "thud" when you reach the end of travel. The suspension doesn't go any further, but it doesn't feel like a hard stop.

capital punishment . . .

Not to mention it costs more to sentence someone to death than it does to lock em up for life anyways. No way do I want the government dishing out revenge on behalf of the state.

The trials are more expensive for sure, ~$1M more per trial in the US. A prisoner in a Canadian federal pen presently costs $117k/year, so ROI [Return On Incarceration] would favour death penalty after around 10 years, from a dollars and cents [amoral] standpoint.

Costs aside, the recidivism rates for convicted murderers in Canada is very low, less than 1% maybe?

cold beer hot summer

At risk of causing an innerweb implosion, I have to say that my favourite hot day chill out drink is Strongbow dry cider. Not your typical, sugary cider drink but a manly beverage that still refreshes.

Oh yeah, on a warm evening when the sun has just tucked itself in behind some trees, and that big platter of nachos appears…

Side note: I was told by an Englishman that Strongbow is what they give away free at grocery stores with purchase of diapers ["nappies" he called them]. Does Strongbow have a bad rap in the UK?

Soooo ... Alberta ...

Yes, but did any Albertans have the foresight to buy a 2015 KTM 250 XC-W to sell at a lose after break-up?

Living beyond your means is the core, no, the soul of Alberta. I daresay that you aim too low sir - KTM 300 XC is the watchword/model # of Alberta in 2015! Dare to dream!

BTW….any of you big talkers ever try to drive a stock 4x4 to a lease site this time of year?

Those big tires and lift kits often have purpose….but you knew that, didnt you?

I always got sent out to leases in rental cars. The best was the Ford Taurus - no road radio _, bald tires and gutless. Still drifted half the corners. _BRAAAAAAP!!!!__

How are y'alll accurately measuring alcohol/vol? My OG/FG estimates with hydrometer say ~5%, but my "mellow" oatmeal stout kicks like a mule. SRSLY, flavour and punch like a Russian Imperial. Not complaining, just more hammered than ususla asnd want to understand.

the single most important piece of advice

Lefty-loosey, righty-tighty [except for bottom brackets and pedals].

The stuff you see in movies and on TV doesn't generally apply to real life. In particular, the sweeping romantic gestures that get the girl in 80's teen rom-coms will NOT work. EVER.

Don't trust anyone who says "trust me".

Life is not fair, not even a little bit. Get used to it.
