Rider's Throat Apparently Sliced by Barbed Wire Across Trail - July 10, 2017, 11:42 a.m.

Did you see the Strava ride logs for the same time period or the update from the Greater Bragg Creek Trail Society? Specifically, they couldn't find any barbed wire.

Rider's Throat Apparently Sliced by Barbed Wire Across Trail - July 10, 2017, 8:07 a.m.

Guy cannot catch a break.

He lost his puppy not that long ago.

Overall, it is a wee bit fishy.

4.5 random things Dave wants for Christmas - Dec. 23, 2016, 9:36 a.m.

I couldn't even find any in southern Oregon, never mind northern Cali. It truly is the unicorn of beers.

Bend – The Ultimate MTB Town? - Dec. 8, 2016, 3:04 p.m.

Lineups for breakfast places are too long in Bend.

The Loam Monster - Dec. 2, 2016, 9:42 a.m.

We do all right for riding here in Alberta.

CMHC Update – Access Granted to Seymour - Oct. 31, 2016, 8:12 a.m.

So, who do people think is going to enforce the CMHC's rules? Re-purpose RCMP from Vancover gangland murders to hide in the woods and ticket hikers? CMHC office drones expected to trade in their office clothing for gore-tex and hide in the woods waiting for a MTB'er?

Looking at this from the outside it looks like bluster related to fear of litigation rather than a real attempt to close off an area to use.

The Age of Ladder Bridges - Oct. 28, 2016, 8:24 a.m.

For me avoiding skinnies and ladders has everything to do with knees and flow. Why interrupt the rhythm of your ride (tech or flow) to navigate something that could blow your knee on a janky dismount? The risk v. reward just isn't there for me anymore so I'm happy to see these things disappear.

2016 Trek Shremedy 29er - March 18, 2016, 2:42 p.m.

Trek doesn't really want to sell frames, but if you really want it they'll overcharge you for one.

Dear Santa – Cam’s List - Dec. 21, 2015, 10:36 a.m.

A friend thought that if ever I were being held against my will my secret alarm sentence would be "Fatbking is fun.". The more you knock it, the harder you make it to enjoy another type of riding.

Dear Santa – Cam’s List - Dec. 18, 2015, 8:55 a.m.

With adjustable geometry on some of the Fatbikes out there it's possible to kill many birds with 1 stone. Fatbike for winter/wet and use it as a 27.5+ for faster days. 120mm air cartridge along with an RC3 damper upgrade in your Bluto and you're off to the races.

If a West Cost hardtail I'd go for a Truelove. My '98 DeKert Team ST had a wicked pull to the left. Only bike I've ever owned I couldn't ride hands free.

Dear Santa 2015: Pete’s list - Dec. 18, 2015, 8:51 a.m.

I like the tent idea but what about something made right here in Canada?

Michelin Tires vs. Squamish Dirt - Sept. 4, 2015, 9:31 a.m.

The Watershed bar is an "ok" way to wrap up a ride in Squamish. For a "great" wrap up you should head to the Howesound brewpub.

Hey Neighbour – “Big Red Ted” Tempany - April 7, 2015, 10:19 a.m.

Got it! Thanks.

Hey Neighbour – “Big Red Ted” Tempany - April 6, 2015, 1:37 p.m.

How do I get in touch with Ted about a building quote?

A Hard Line Against Sabotage - Feb. 11, 2015, 10:06 a.m.

Comments like "Any good lawyer knows" and "carefully crafted" make me believe you've watched too many US court dramas relative to experience with the Canadian legal system. The case will be heard on the basis of the charges, the case brought by the crown, and the evidence brought by defence. What someone does in their home or online ought to have no bearing at all. The Canadian legal system is actually pretty boring, no matter how crazy a case is.
