Yoga

I went with Mrs. Flanders to couples yoga for a while; I have a bit of trouble with my back at night and made a big difference.

Official Rugby World Cup 2011 Thread

If Canada beats Japan (seems likely) hopefully we will see them move up the rankings a bit; perhaps that will expose them to more top tier oppostion in test matches (I don't really know anything about how international rugby works, I'm just wondering…).

Official Rugby World Cup 2011 Thread

Just found this thread…

I am loving the coverage on TSN2; I hadn't watched televised rugby before and I am really enjoying it; it is a great spectator sport.

I really didn't expect Canada to beat France. Although the score was close for an hour, I had hoped for a tighter outcome.

Interbike 2011 - Day 1 Inside

I didn't find the Mountain Cycle frame all that ugly, although I did find myself reminiscing about the nineties when I looked at it.

Any word on Mount Washington?

where were you standing? I was on that section until around 3:30….left just in time to miss seeing my buddy debark one of the trees with his body and knock himself out

I was up above it until about 2:45, then walked down that section to the 4 cross course. I had to leave about 3:30 so I missed the accident. I was with a buddy and his son who had raced earlier (blonde hair, glasses, black fox pants)and a mom of another racer.

The course was a fun one to watch (I showed up for a couple hours of entertainment). I saw a couple of guys go through the MHC section faster than I thought humanly possible.:damn:

Interesting bit of news… Apparently current plans are the BC Cup DH will only use part of the Monster Mile, incorporating MMT, the Monster Hawk connector, a couple other bits I can't remember and finishing with the 4 Cross course under the Hawk chair.

I like the idea of the racers coming down the 4 cross course.

That sort of thing happens to all teams. Last year in the second round Boston was up 3-0 in game 7 against Philly; they lost that game with essentially the same lineup that won the cup last with one important exception: Rask was in net because Thomas was unreliable.

Lucky for Boston they were unable to move Thomas in the off season (due to his weighty contract) even though they tried.

Point is- I don't think the Canucks need to change too much. Obviously they will need to replace a few parts that have moved on, but key personnel don't need to be jettisoned.

The Sedins were hot and cold throughout the playopffs and in the last round they sucked- no bones about it. To win the Cup (or any championship) you have to have two things: your top players playing at their peak and team health. In the final round Boston had both, the Canucks had neither

You don't really think Nugent-Hopkins is going to play next season do you?

Edmonton probably shouldn't but based on recent history it wouldn't be suprising.

They let Tanner Glass go away. That's too bad, I liked him. He's going to Winnipeg.

So is Rypien… :(
