Behind the Brand: NF - March 6, 2020, 8:05 a.m.

Travis, when will you guys have the merino t’s back in? Love to try one. My old Rab meco 120 is probably the best riding shirt I’ve ever had...but they redesigned it a couple years ago :( and looking for alternatives.

Look forward to stopping by.

My Three Favourite Bikes from Sea Otter - April 18, 2019, 7:56 p.m.

While my suspension was in the shop, took out my 96 Ibis Mojo Steel with the original Syncros post, 950 xtr... man we are spoiled today.

I don’t use the originals but still have them. I’ve bought a few pairs off of PB so I have a supply im case I break the shell.

But it’s not my only BITD item. Still have my Ibis Mojo steel (you know the one). It doesn’t get any riding time though. The Chilcotin is just too good.

Drew, I’m still using Frogs. (Over 20 years now)

The secret is worn cleat on a new pedal or worn pedal with a new cleat. I wouldn’t dare using a new cleat with a new pedal anywhere on the shore.

And great article. Some healthy advice here.

Maybe someone from Endless Biking can act as a guide to help him manage his energy; and maximize his experience through thoughtful trail choices.

Must Lose 100 lbs and Get Faster! - Aug. 30, 2016, 11:19 a.m.

Here are some resources you might find useful:

Check out his article on MAF (Maximum aerobic function) and his "two week test" for nutrition.

Book: Primal Endurance by Sisson and Kearns. The most up to date guide on endurance training ect including nutritional options, weights etc.

Don't be put off by the title of this next one. I think it is one of the finest books written recently on insulin, diabetes and fasting. Written by a nephrologist from Toronto. I'm not overweight or diabetic but found it hugely insightful and I recommend it to anyone.

The Obesity Code: Jason Fung .

In General: don't count calories. Eliminate grain and sugar, cereal, rice, potatoes (if not cooked and cooled), pop and sports drinks. Get more fat adapted (MAF method and two week test) Use periodic fasting (see Fungs book).

Hope this is helpful.

Dumbing down? Not enough gnar?
Simmons Pipeline video nails it: Daddy's bike too easy.

A big thank you to all those guys who work on the trails all over but particularly on the sea to sky where I ride.

Amazing opportunities everywhere.

Super Ultimate Recovery Salmon - June 22, 2016, 12:37 p.m.

Drew, nice job. May try the mayo thing next time sounds interesting and I've got some Primal Kitchen mayo…….

You can also take your salmon, rinse and pat dry then put on some foil. Put good olive oil (the taste of the oil can have a huge impact on the final flavor) on it, then some rock salt. Let sit on the counter for 1/2 hour while the bbq heats up. Squeeze lemon on right before the Q.

1 lb pound center cut is 10-15 mins cooking usually. (All assuming bones are out).

Full marks on the kitchen utensils.
