Fromme 2012 Conditions

I got up to the 4th SW yesterday as well and pushed over to Ladies. Still quite a bit of snow and ice. Didn't look promising above the 4th. Most of the woodwork below the 4th was clear, dry and suprisingly grippy. But every once in a while you'd hit a patch of ice on dirt and get a wake-up call. Trail didn't truly get snow free until the Big Stupid.

The stuff that's clear is in great shape, but there's still lots of snow and ice.

Burke - Canon t3i test (Day 2!)

Nice! What lense were you using? I picked up a T3i in the fall and just bought a 50mm on top of the kit lense. Looking to expand the glass options.

chew?

When I was in highschool. Started with Kodiak. Moved on to Levi Garrett (leaf), then Red Man plug. Man, that Kodiak was like meth to a 16yr old. Finally stopped when my buddies started having peeling skin from inside their mouths.

How can Vancouver rock

I'm going to date myself, but who here remembers the Soft Rock Cafe?

Bonus points for location.

Yakima Frontloader vs Highroller

Looking for a rooftop rack to fit a factory set of subaru crossbars. Does anyone here have any experience with either of these racks (or preferrably both)? From looking at them, the Highroller just seems to be a beefier version of the Frontloader, but I'm not sure.

Would be for a sub 35lb all mountain rig, so doesn't need to haul anything too heavy.

Cheers.

Ridable all the way up to Ladies/Pipeline. There was some slushy snow at the 5th, requiring dexterity and grace to stay in the tire tracks. The trails had a bit of snow and slush at the start. Lots of water running everywhere - all the creeks were roaring.

Agreed. Even the creeks off MTN HWY below the first gate were roaring.

Some patchy snow visible under the canopy at Ladies / Pipeline. Seventh would likely be sketchy for the first few hundred meters. Even Krinkum off the fifth looked marginal. As usual, the further west, the less snow. BP west of Pipeline was uber soaked in some sections, but west of Espresso / BP was good!

Nonsense. Nothing is more effective than bacon.

Turkey with Bacon

Your mom tell you you couldn't use the full pound?

Pretty much what I was thinking.

I cover the whole bird in bacon and convection roast it. When I'm carving it there's almost a fist fight for the bacon-fused-turkey-skin bits that fall off. Keeps the bird sealed in bacon goodness.

My Eric B [HTML_REMOVED] Rakim re-rub:

I usually can't stand how others try to mess wth Eric B [HTML_REMOVED] Rakim with remixes and shit, but this track delivers. Of course, it wasn't off Paid in Full. You mess with those tracks and you're asking for it.

Nice one!

Where is the Cheapest Beer in GVRD?, Tell me NBR

I was at Joey on Broadway tonight. Pale ales were $2.99 and the talent show was on. Good deal as far as I could tell.

Ladies Only very rideable today. I got first tracks through the melting snow. Still snow above the teeter (and LOTS of water at the teeter!).

Was slick as hell when I rode it this afternoon until the 4th. After that it was good. The ponds at the teeter were indeed something to be seen. Not only full, but surely freezing cold! Big stupid was mint!
