Good to hear! How long have you been using it?

Curious, have you installed the 54T star ratchet yet? If so, any noticeable, real world difference?
I'm running a 36T and thinking to up it to 54T as well, but most of what i've researched says it's not worth the $$$. There's also the durability issue… more teeth = shallow, less contact between teeth engagement.

My daily driver is a TB 2 with a 120mm Pike and it pretty much rips on all but the nastiest trails. I demo'd a 29er version of the TB 3 last fall and was blown away at it's descending capabilities compared to the TB 2. I must admit however, it's climbing prowess wasn't quite on par compared to the TB2, especially on slow, tight switchbacks - the 'longer, slacker' geometry works against it in these situations.

I often fantasize about having a bigger travel bike and after demo-ing the new Slayer and Patrol, I keep coming back to the TB 3 for my next bike purchase. It just does everything exceptionally well.

I'm not a knee pad wearing rider, not by choice but because I can't find anything that is comfortable and stays in place. I like my climbs and like to pedal, so lightweight and non bulky is what I'm after. Is there a product available on the market that you can just 'set it and forget it'? Having to constantly stop mid ride to adjust is a buzz killer.
I've tried the Race Face Indy pads which lasted all but 3 rides before I couldn't stand wearing them. No matter how tight i pulled the strap they would slowly slide down. These look very similar in design to the RF Indy's, if you've used them in the past how would you compare the two?

Btw, this guy speaks the truth about carbon. You can check out his other vids where he cuts up carbon frames (mostly road bikes) and exposes some dodgy manufacturing.

You do know that you can get replacement ratchet parts from shimano. I had to replace mine, $20 cdn for a pair. Cheaper than buying new shoes.

Any heel lift when walking/hiking? I 've been using a pair of Shimano M200 and am less the pleased with them in terms of heel support.

So it's $3500/yr to join and, based on a per ride price of $175 (I used the Spokane offerings), that would mean just over 22 paid customers a year to break even on the fixed costs. Assume 2 riders per "tour", that's 11 days of paid service just to break even.

For the affiliates who have signed up already, how long does it take them to break even in the first year? How many leads do you generate for your affiliates, on average, per month?

Don't forget during the shoulder season (Nov - Mar) you'll more than likely have zero bookings. So realistically, you're operating 7 months of the year.

and if you are charged import duty mention that the items a bicycle componets which are all exempt from import duty. The only things that you have to pay import duty on are

1)Compete bicycles
2)Complete wheels

The only thing you should be charged is GST (unless you order a complete bicycle or built-up bicycle wheels).

Sometimes things are mis-categorized by customs. A common one is bike parts labelled as car parts and being tacked with BC PST and import duty.

Just thought I'd update…

I had two shipments with incorrect duties/pst to be paid. So I paid them and then sent off the form to claim it back.

I got my 2 cheques in the last couple of weeks, so the system works; it just takes a while.

What form and mailed to who?

Wish I would have read this before placing my $200 order.
The FREE shipping options were Standard Postal (untracked, delivered by Canada Post) or Standard Tracked (no mention of DHL).

So I naturally selected Standard Tracked only to later find out that it was DHL. Hope I don't get dinged with BS fees/charges on delivery.

My experience is much different. I ordered a few items (chains, brake pads) which were dispatched Jan. 2. As of end of last week still hadn't received it. I checked my local Canada Post depot to see if they had it or if it was out for delivery but no luck. I contacted CRC about the lost package and they offered to resend the items the next day.

That's pretty good service. I've never had issues with CRC and that's after spending over $1,000 in 2014.

nope, head up microwave road towards tunnel vision from function, it's just before the water reservoir on the right…only 10 minutes up the road…it's not a long trail, but it's heavy on fun

Hey Flip,

If you exit off Highline on to Microwave road, do you take a left and head down or right and head up for the trail head to AMPM? Where does the trail kick you out?
