I am thinking Dreamweaver is a no go, and it should be, too much potential conflict with hikers on a busy Sunday.

i have successfully used car tire plugs on tubeless mtb wheels. sealed a 1 inch slice between treads on a maxxis exo dhr2 and lasted till the tire was dead (couple months). patches in my opinion wont work, especially with stans because stans will work its way into any adhesive you used and dissolve it over time due to the pressures within the tire. plugs are the way to go, they will seal up solid with some stans - plus they are dirt cheap.

lots of new options for routes this year, especially on Seymour… excited to see what happens.

considerations:

racing on baden powell/bridal path is not fun and will create conflict with other users
up the price to 10 bucks and give the 'volunteers' some compensation
food trucks ….. yes
multiple skill/gender categories ….. yes
multiple routes ….. i.e. riders can choose to race only the 2 easiest of the 3 or 4 trails, i think this will bring more people out. but i think you already knew this from the race with ladies only.

Seems like a great, upper entry level combo for real espresso making. Will update all as I move closer to and make a purchase. I need the space this set-up will go in finished first (part of an ongoing reno / addition at home).

i have the baratza encore and it is a great grinder for the price and would take it over the bodum any day. it is also definitely capable of making good espresso. there are two modifications you will want to do if you pick one up (takes about 10-15 minutes).

first you need to calibrate it to the 'fine' setting since it comes default in 'coarse' setting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JyQ_AywdBRQ

as for machines, the gaggia classic is generally regarded as the most cost efficient entry level semi-auto espresso machine. if you're patient enough, pick one up off of craigslist and give it a good cleaning. parts are easy to get and the amount of discussion about this machine on the internet will overflow your head. i would definitely go with a gaggia over a similarly priced breville machine any day. brevilles are generally not easily serviceable.
