Some nice looking pillows there.

"Those aren't pillows!"

Mark Wood vs the NSMBA

Anyone else think that Mark Wood's contributions to the Shore should be recognized in a formal way? Community award, plaque somewhere on the shore? It seems to me that he's done mostly good stuff for the mtb community.

How about we put up some extra-large UV and weather-proofed prints of Mark along the trails?

"Asshole" in Pickup Truck (Shuttler)

One of my favourite moments from almost 20 years of shore riding…

Pop out of Family Guy and riding back "up" the road to lower Cypress parking. As we approach, a mini school bus is just leaving (heading up). He makes it most of the way to the corner, then throws it in reverse, and backs up back to us. Long story short… we did accept their shuttle, we did hotbox the bus, and we did all shred back down together. High times in the mid 10s.

Time to move on from this tragic event.

Says the guy bumping the thread eight days later. ;)

Encountering dogs while riding

But I can still vividly remember what it was like to be gripped by that fear, and I always consider that when my dog is off leash and we encounter other people. I pretty much assume people are NOT going to be okay/comfortable around dogs instead of assuming that they will be. If I had come across off leash dogs on a trail, it would have petrified me back in the day, and I do not want to put someone else in that situation.

Congratulations on being the first dog owner in the history of dogs to recognize this!

seymour/hyannis access question

The issue is not that the buffing exists, but at he EXPENSE of the old school shit… Okay: you want the forest full of Lululemons and hot chicks on bikes. I get it. And you need trails for the aforementioned hotties. I get it. But I ride alone, and am old school. I am not in the mood or have the inclination to take my bike down a re-tardily santitized trail and expect to lap it up like it is the new "bomb". It does not work that way. Moreover, think of the work and effort to DECOMMISSION something rather than leave it in place…

Wow great rant. Much agree here.

anyone had a rear axle snaP?

I've broken a cheap rear axle by riding a bulged tire home. I've also stripped the splines on Deore cranks pulling that exact same move on Bobsled. Good times. :)

Illegal Trails in Delta Wathershed

As long as no one messes with the step up pit, I'm happy.

Please don't slander the Gravity Bowl by calling it a mere step up pit. ;)

Or do you mean the other step up?

Weed on the Shore & dogs

I was riding near the Pipeline Bridge into the Demo Forest and I'm pretty sure my dog ate a mini pump. And then some keys.

Maxxis Ignitor or Larsen

I love my Ignitors. Good balance between weight [HTML_REMOVED] meat. Put them on after a few disappointing rides on Crossmarks (too squirrely in the wet… front wheel washing out on berm carves, etc.) which are similar to Larsens I think. On my XC bike.

Chasing Legends in Theatres Feb 2nd

I sold my road bike years ago, but am still a huge Tour fan, so I enjoyed it. What disappointed me is they cut all the footage of Cav crying… They must have had hours of that to go through!

And too much Lance Armstrong - as usual from a Yankee production.

PhotoShop Help!

My coworker once showed a program called "Photoshop Portable". Look for that on a torrent site. No install - just download [HTML_REMOVED] run.
