Apple vs Samsung?

Apple are a bunch of douchey bullies trying to maneuver into a position for a monopoly.

Apple sued Samsung because Samsung duplicated Apple's patented technologies and design in several of their mobile product lines. I dont see it as being a bully when you are protecting what you have invested billions in developing and marketing…

I am pretty sure that was them… he picked it up in late June. Nice kids and I ran into them randomly at the bottom of Ned's a few days after he picked it up, what are the odds?

On the flip side… I listed my Banshee Scythe and I had an inquiry from a young guy in Mexico of all places… I was rightfully skeptical as I am a busy guy and dont really care to deal with any headache, but I told him the terms I would accept… payment in full by Paypal, then he can come pick it up in person or pay a shipping company to pick it up from me, package it, and send it to him. He paid for it with his mom's Paypal on the day he said he would, I held it for 2 weeks, and he flew in, picked it up, and rode Whistler for a week… sometimes things surprise you!

Accounting advice

If you don't get a remittance stub, you simply declare a number. They either accept your number or audit you. :)

Does anybody know how Sam Hill ended up in 66th place and/or why most of the women didn't run the course?

Crabapple Just Got Bigger!

shouldn't it be 'THEIR reseme'?

Shouldn't it be 'THEIR resume'? (I got screwed by the forum trying to use the appropriate accents, apparently accents = no post)

Anybody know how tickets for the "top of the world" trail is going to work?

This is a good overview of what it is and how it works…

Modern DH bike vs. Older FR bike

I went from my Banshee Scythe to my Transition TR450 and I found that although I wasn't riding anything at Whistler that I wouldn't have been before, without any change on my skill level, I am just riding everything a notch faster. The rock faces and steep techy descents are still challenging but feel much more manageable. In short, a pro would probably not notice as big of a difference as an intermediate rider like myself, but for me the change was a huge confidence booster and one that I'm glad I made.

Hope that helps,
Mark

It's official ... we suck at traffic!

agree - transit in vancouver is fantastic - the broadway corridor has buses coming every 5-7 minutes. in the 'burbs it's every 30, and on weekends every hour. that's silly.

i take the train, and have heard of people sleeping through their stop on the way home, ending up in mission and being completely stranded because there's no transit service to get back into town. granted it's their fault, but that is pretty unacceptable.

If you are dumb enough to sleep through your stop, you are dumb enough to deserve to need to take a cab back to your stop. It's not exactly like it takes a different amount of time to get to your stop every day… just set an alarm. Or, shocker, stay awake!!!
