Dear Interbike

Not this.
I don't think she's being unreasonable.
Consider if the situation were reversed and you had to wade through male exotic dancers in g-strings to learn about your favourite bike gear.

Not at all… if Interbike were the ONLY method of actually finding out about my favourite bike gear, maybe that would hold some weight, but if I didn't like the way Interbike was presenting the goods, I simply would vote with my feet and not go…

Dear Interbike

Dear Interbike,

I am clearly a bit insecure about my own attractiveness and have some self esteem issues.

Sincerely,
Selene

Media player in my living room?

I use this and it works phenomenally well:
http://www.dlink.com/us/en/home-solutions/boxee-box/at-a-glance

For my downloaded TV shows, catalogues and organizes them, downloads the info on each episode, keeps track of whether you have seen it or not. For movies, downloads the ratings and album art from IMDB, rotten tomatoes, etc. Also has a functional web browser, tons of plugins for internet radio, etc.

Not a lot of wow factor there… but then again you could be looking at the future queen's tits so maybe that is cool in itself?

ouch, poor ferrari

According to a CBC article the day after this happened (this was already last weekend): a woman was driving it, and according to police, speed was not a factor… I make no judgment or comment, draw whatever conclusions from that that you like… :agree:

Fade to Black + Other Clips

Homie, I watched a 9 year old kid hit the road gap on F2B… I still find it intimidating.

Happy Labour Day ya'll

You have that bass-ackwards. The concept of unions should be be pushed overseas……….

You, of all people, shouldn't push "pushing" anything on other countries or cultures. The reality is the unbelievable bloated nature of many of the large unions, particular in the US, costs money - a lot of it. Unions cost labourers a lot more jobs by the simple fact that although it's typically materially cheaper to do business in other countries, the real issue is that the unions are such unwieldy and painful entities that these companies would rather not deal with them.

The benevolent unions are the clearly the average working man's only hope of fighting off evil corporate America's greedy demands… :stupid: The concept of unions make perfect sense but the real accomplishments of modern unions are furthering the push to overseas solutions.

Fade to Black + Other Clips

It is soooo annoying to see the moves on Fade to Black look so small and babyish and yet be so intimidating in person.

Apple vs Samsung?

It's ridiculous to argue that something like two-finger zooming isn't something that differentiates products and interfaces to a degree that it merits a patent. If it wasn't a good idea that made a difference, others wouldn't have used it.

It's like saying that the DW Link rear suspension design shouldn't be able to be patented because ultimately it's only a rear wheel moving up and down and how it does it is immaterial.

In both of these arenas, a marginal improvement is a real competitive advantage and one that should be able to be protected.
