Re: NSMB 2023 Full-Suspension Thread
Interesting. I’m the same height. I find my 475 reach nomad 5 to be on the big side. Might be because i’m used to sitting straight up when pedaling or maybe I have shorter torso/ arms.

Hello whos still riding whistler
Hi everyone
Soon to be the only indoor spot in the lower mainland. Airrec in ridge closes in less than a month...
Looks like theres a nice airbag landing and a possible drop to air bag.
Hopefully this place does well.
Mathew bond has been around forever. Dont give up man.
Has anyone rode the new fox x2 air shock? I'm interested in purchasing one so I'm curious if anyone could let me know their experience's n pro/cons.
Also I'm looking to upgrade from my intense frame in the future, around summer time.
Heres a little list of info about what i like lol. One of the most important things is it need's to be able to handle sever impacts, in the ballpark of 8" of travel, really good warrenty (lol), aluminum is fine.
I am just clueless with all the new tech these day's so I'd love some help. Thanks
Cho bro will make it threw this. He will walk out that door. Much love to him!
I've had a new one sitting in my garage for like 4 years. Hopefully one day I'll actually use it. Maybe this year!
Those are some beautiful bikes.
Awesome, finally a thread that has my full attention hahaha.
Dh bikes are far from dead.
I ride an intense 951, fox 40's with thompson stem, full saint, THE run flat rims (LOL) on hope hubs, trimmed maxxis tires. Lots of the parts from my previous bike.
Kept breaking the stock rear ends so it has been rewelded with gussets by a top quality company.
My future upgrades over the winter will be new handlebars since mine are starting to bend, new drive train, a fancy clutched saint rear derailler, fox x2 air rear shock is what I can think of for now.
I need some suggestions on a new frame tho.
My guidelines are nothing to fancy.
Atleast 8" of travel, 150mm hub spacing and preferably uses a 9.5" length shock. The most important thing is it has to be strong and handle an incredible amount of abuse.
Let's get this thread going!
Now this is gettin juicy. Do tell about the nutbar.
Was running up in Lynn Headwaters near Norvan a couple years back. Was fall, raining pretty hard on way back this hermit came out of nowhere and started following me running for 100 yards. I had my dog with me, turned around picked up a stick and said I was going to crush his head in. My coonhound got all aggressive went nuts and he ran off. Fucking bizarre.
Whenever I see someone running up there alone with earbuds in I just shake my head. I heard the guy come crashing out of the bush behind me plus my dog set off an alarm.
Reported it to police.
I hate having experience's like this. I've had to defend myself in pretty bad altercations in the past.
Good to hear things didn't get to bad. I've gone threw that same experience and it sucked.
I always make sure my phone is fully charged, double ziplock my phone for extra protection, bring extra things to eat and drink so you dont run out of energy, 20$ for emergenc.
I put an extra layer in my camelback during this time of year, going from being hot and sweaty to cold can be pretty serious.
Our local mountains become a whole different ballgame once the weather gets cold like this.
