Looking for the mullet and coil option.  You know it's dangerous when you start researching 165 X 45 mm Trunnion coil options.  So much want, but probably not the right bike for me.

Is there a Bronson MX comparison review in the works?  I could see the Bronson MX being a good contender for a one bike roster.

I have recently returned full swing back into mountain bikes.  My last bike in 2015 didn't even have a dropper post!  

That being said, I'm fully immersed in 2022 bike gear and have been using a SwitchGrade for the last six months.  It's been ridden in some nasty conditions with plenty of rain and mud, to the point where I have had to replace my saddle due to permanent creaking.  So far so good in terms of durability.  It continues to be solid, with satisfying audible clicks.  

In terms of function, I've never felt the need to tilt my saddle nose down.  That is until I started riding a more modern geometry bike with a steep seat tube angle.  With my weight further forward, combined with a longer reach, the saddle nose tilt down creates a more comfortable position for sustained uphill climbing.

I only use two out of the three available settings.  A slight nose tilt down for flat and uphill climbing and a slight nose tilt up for descending.  As a smaller rider with a corresponding inseam, I like having a slight nose tilt up for descents and getting low on my bike.  Also as a smaller rider, the actual seat tube angle isn't as slack as taller riders with their seat post 210mm fully extended out.    

Overall I'd say it's a worthwhile product for those who like to have a more defined climbing and descending stance, or for those who need a bit more adjustability and comfort over varied terrain.  Is it worth the full price of admission?  It's a pay to play market, and small volume/ high quality product doesn't come cheap.

I've had about a dozen rides on the new XT 11 spd: XT 11-40T cassette, XT mid cage rear derailleur, XTR shifter. I'm also using a 30T wolftooth chainring.

My initial thoughts are that shifting is really precise and consistent. I haven't used Shimano in years, but the XTR shifter is pretty amazing.

The only issue I've had so far has been the accidental clutch switch from on to off. This has happened twice. I'll have to keep a closer eye on it to see if it's the clutch itself or if it's caused from transporting my bike when I place it upside down to clean.

My previous drivetrain was a RF narrow wide on a 9spd (yes 9spd!) Sram XO shifter and X0 mid cage rear derailleur. This drivetrain also shifted quite well, just not as well as a clutch type system when being bounced around.

I'd like to see more in-depth reader's rides. Include information about riding style, favourite trails, specific and unique bike set up information.

In terms of a bike review wrecking crew, I had a similar conversation with Jason a few months ago about this same topic.

In an ideal world with no restraints, I'd like to see a 5 member wrecking crew. Each member with a slightly different riding background (All mountain, downhill, slope style, weekend warrior etc.). Then, after a period of a couple months, have the wrecking crew give a score on a scale of 1-10. Keep the review short and sweet and include action pictures of each rider shredding.

For example, a wrecking crew review could look like this

Introduction/short biography on each rider/ Include details like typical trails ridden and bike set up information.

Rider's impression. Pros and Cons of the product. Individual score out of 10.

Combined score out of 50. Summary on what kind of rider may appreciate the product. Identify strengths and weaknesses.

If you're looking for a good wrecking crew member, I'd nominate IFO on the board. He's the definition of the seasoned weekend warrior. Knows what he likes, pays for his equipment aka no sponsors, and gives honest feedback.

But if he's reading this, he's probably going to say, "No Sale!" no time to write a review.

SuspensionWerx sells BOS stuff now.

That's one of the main draws for me. I wouldn't even consider Bos if it weren't for Suspensionwerx for maintenance and Suspension therapy for tuning.

Yeah, I had a BOS Deville and have a BOS Kirk shock on my Carbine… The Deville was amazing in all respects. Open bath like damping made it feel Marzocchi smooth. One of the best forks I have ever had the pleasure of using. Long service intervals and easy to change the oil yourself. Was it stiff? Yeah, I run 220lb geared up and the fork never let me down in terms of stiffness. I only sold it as I upgraded to 27.5 and got a good deal on a Formula 35 fork. I tend to experiment a lot with suspension and sometimes take a few risks with new products. Some work out well, some don't. The BOS Deville I give two thumbs up.
P.S. The BOS Kirk is freaking amazing. It will not be leaving my Carbine anytime soon.

That's the kind of information I'm looking for. I think the Bos Deville would make a good match for my Cane Creek DB air CS. I hope to hear more feedback from local riders who have spent time on the 160mm Deville.

Anyone with ride time on the Bos Idylle SC or Bos Deville 160 trc? I'm considering a Bos fork for my Rune.

I'll mainly be riding on the local mountains Fromme and Seymour with a couple of Whistler trips sprinkled in.

All the online reviews seem to indicate that Bos is the Tony Danza of the suspension world in Europe. I'm looking for some feedback from local riders, specifically on stiffness (relative to similar forks like the Fox 34/ 36 Float) and reliability (What are service intervals like?).

No dice. Contacted Cane Creek, but they said they didn't carry anything that would work.

Cane Creek probably also isn't going to advertise that they can make Franken headsets from their parts bin.

Good times. I just posted in another thread about how running a straight 1.5" steerer fork can be a PITA. It's on the verge of extinction.

I'm still holding out on my 9spd drive train. They'll be at 13 speed cassettes by the time I switch from Sram X.O. And they'll be at 15 speed cassettes by the time YOU switch from Grip Shift.

i'll continue to buy 26" product/bikes until shops tell me otherwise as to its not being available..

i just dont see it going away, if anything i'd be more inclined to seeing the larger hoop wheel as a fad that pass' within 3-4 years and the market returns to 26" bikes/wheels

I just purchased a new frame that has a tapered 44mm top and 56mm bottom head tube (hooray!). My current setup is a straight 1.5" steerer tube fork which at this point is on the verge of extinction with the likes of 26" wheels..haha

In order to make my fork fit my new frame, I need an external cup 44mm top. The only headset I've seen that fits this criteria is the Nukeproof Warhead 44EEOS. The only problem is that the only place that I've seen carry it (CRC) is out of stock until at least mid December.

Does anyone know of any other headset manufacturer that makes a 44mm external cup top for straight 1.5" steerer tubes?

Or does anyone have a Nukeproof Warhead 44EEOS that they are willing to part with?
