Maybe email sorca or post on the "Squamish bike" fb page. You'd probably reach way more people that way.
Throw a 150mm Pike on that Stumpjumper Evo and a Rock Razor as a rear tire - you´ll love it even more. Had one with this combination and kind of regret letting it go. It is so fast, snappy and fun!
The SPRTN is also fantastic. Loads of carbon =)
And what size front tire is that? Looks like a fatbike =)
Why do people like rock razors? I tried one this summer and found it spun out super easy on any tech climb. It was infuriating.
Instead of threadjacking the other skins thread, any tips for ice and skinning?
I'm still a rank amateur and could use all the tips you got.
Lots of edging practice, focus on trying to keep as much skin contact as possible, weight your heels on your risers (don't panic and lean forward) and use ski crampons if it's really bad.
Chinese carbon is nice for XC/pedally bikes, but not a rear wheel that sees chunky stuff. Not if you want it to last long, anyway…
Funny you say that as I'm riding light bikes 30mm (with dh layup) on my trail bike and I have no qualms riding anything and everything with my wheel set
From a few pages back IF you have a Bell Super
Some pretty slick CNC'd Go Pro mounts for Solarstorm x2, Magicshine etc which work for the Bell Super factory GP mount.
Found him on MTBR.
I also ordered some go pro handle bar mounts and used these adapters for the SS 2 on the bars.
No more o-rings:)
Nice, thanks for the heads up. Just did a bulk order (34 lights for 23 people) for mounts and lights. Will post setup when they arrive.
Had mavic for a while which were good till I lost them switching tubes. Tried valves that came with a set of race face wheels as well as stans valves and had issues with both not seating well (and eventually tightening them so much that they pulled into to inner wall of the rim). I have had no issues with presta valves straight cut out of tubes.
