iraq stuff

Not bad, but the question is whether this does affect the people in power. It rather seems that the UN guys now in Iraq are troubled with all the rumbling from the soldiers Bush is sending down there. Maybe they don't have the chance of finishing the inspections…

Fate ???

I HAD the chance to work as a mailman delivering mail - BUT the general budget has been shortened, so no job for me….:(

I'd NEARLY had the chance to earn enough money for a new frame…haven't been out riding for 7 months…

I MAYBE have the chance of getting another job, but it does NOT really look as if it'll work out…due to recession.

I am a student, short of money and pretty frantic about my money shortage….with the job I'm doing right now I get the money I need for rent…how fucked up is that ???

PLEASE, guys, cheer me up a bit.
I wanna ride soo badly that my heart/soul does hurt….is that fate or what ???

Agree, but at one moment the others call him that sounds like McWallace - probably the Scottish equivalent of the English name Wallace. Maybe Mac or Mc is just a prefix designed for stating that you are part of the XY-clan..dunno.

Hmmm….you crazy scotsmen:scotland:
By the way, did you know that the name referred to Irish settlers that came to Scotland in the very early Middle Ages (5-8th century AD)…and I really enjoyed Braveheart…this spirit is needed.

I'd go and call William MacWallace a true Freerider…his call in front of the sccottish men before the first battle…just truly great…"Scotland is free…"…wow.

Trail Nazi Evidence/Discusstion

We are mountain bikers who share the same love for riding and for our trails, and who want to keep things safe, accessable and fun for everyone.

I don't want to see a Trail Nazi paint all hikers with a bad brush. I also don't want to see aggresive, unfriendly and ignorant mountain bikers paint us with theri bad brush.

The public face of our sport is undergoing some major changes. What we enjoy now is going to be very hard to preserve. Now is a good time to band together and find solutions, not squabble amongst ourselves.

NOthing to add here. Very good point !!!
Not all people understand and share the kind of riding we are into…what is the truth to some, is a "worst-case-scenario" to others.

It's a sad reality...

Hopefully, I will start working as a mailman delivering letters and the like to people this week - this means that in less than eight weeks, my new bike will be reality and no longer a dream. With extra hours of work I will literally swim in money…and for this I don't really mind running around in bad weather or getting up at 4.45 in the morning.
It's the bike that counts….

Merry X-Mas Everyone

Hi there,

may be a bit early, but I really really wish everyone on this board a truly great X-Mas time with the family, friends, lovers…may sound stupid, but if it is one thing I learned this year, then the fact that you should use some time for your loved ones…

And a Happy New Year's Eve as well.
I hope that I will have a new rig next year, that I will be building trails in my hometown (officially sanctioned ones…:D), and that I will spend more time with my family and my girl…and my new bike.

All the best to you. Where ever you are. Never stop dreaming.

Trail Building Tips, suggestions and Resources

I haven't gotten a reply - yet. I posted a call for support on "The SHore", but only two Australians have answered. Anyway, thanx.
I'll keep you updated and share everything I get to know…
