Alex Pro in Utah

Why don't you guys all just chill out and leave the kid alone. We've all done stupid shit, just it was before everyone had a camera on their phone and long before facebook. Alex Pro is a talented biker and a good athlete. He's worked hard to get here should we judge his character and mess with his future because of one stupid mistake??

Of all the riot threads to post in you had to pick one that's been idle for a day. Too many damn riot threads to keep up with!

Boston Bruins Bottle Service

http://www.nbcconnecticut.com/news/local/Bruins-Foxwoods-Bar-Bill-156000-124204159.html

The bottle of Ace of Spades brut is on display at High Rollers and it will later be raffled off to benefit the Bruins foundation.

Used Ace of Spades bottle filled with the backwash of the 2011 Boston Bruins!

David Lang's photos from the riots

I'd like to see a tally of where the fuck these people came from. Seems more like redneck angry suburban kids than metrosexual city kids to me, but that's just a biased guess.

Looks similar to the crowd of people that fill Granville Street on weekends. I'm sure the tally of would be similar to the mailing list of a few clubs down there.

I'm biased too. The only thing I hated about living in Vancouver was the downtown section of Granville Street on weekends. I don't know where the hell that crowd comes from but they bear no resemblance to people in Vancouver on other days of the week.

Holy shit, the debate moderator just announced that the Bruins were winning by four and the candidates cheered in unison. So painful!

Why would you do that when you could watch this game AND the Republican Presidential debate at the same time? Are you not a masochist?

Great article in The Boston Globe about Canucks fans. Surprised to see something positive coming out of Boston!

The Vice Guide To Travel: Liberia

A lot of people were pissed off about the Liberia doc. So many that Vice issued an apology.

http://www.vbs.tv/blog/an-open-letter-to-liberia

The response from this man living in Liberia is hilarious:

I do enjoy these documentaries though. The North Korea one was really eerie.

DCA, the Cure for Cancer.

I came across this article on the Vice Mag blog earlier today:

http://www.viceland.com/blogs/en/2011/05/17/this-guy-cures-cancer/

This is coming from a site that I mainly follow for their do's and don'ts fashion articles so I don't put any faith in the source. Most likely another exaggerated conspiracy theory movie but I'm sure there are valid points about big pharma suppressing unprofitable cancer treatments.

Moving to California

yea, I'm probably going to rent a bit for sure, but If I do buy a house, it will be in San Hose area, which is only like half an hour drive away. Probably a bigger city there anyways!

But yea man, working vacation ftw!

My on-site interview is on Monday, wish me luck!

Totally recommend that you live in Palo Alto if you can. It feels more like a community than San Jose does because it's smaller, has a decent downtown, and it's easer to get around. Stanford is there as well as a lot of young people who work and live there so it's a lot easier to make friends and meet women than in other cities around the bay (except San Francisco, which is an amazing place to live). Might be able to get a decent sublease for the summer from a Stanford student that's leaving for the summer.

Engineers are being poached all the time here so don't worry too much about your initial salary. If you are a decent engineer you are likely to get unsolicited job offers with a higher salary in no time.

Good luck on the interview!
