Fromme today

A friend of mine was riding up Fromme, on his 29er single speed, and apparrently a few arrogant A-holes were telling him his bike was not designed for the Shore, while they were PUSHING their bikes up. This guy rides the SHore all the time on his 29er, actually he races in the SS worldcup or whatever it is. HE can ride most trails on his SS on the Shore. It's too bad the clowns pushing their bikes up ,couldn't keep up to a guy on a SS clipped in climbing and descending seventh. He and his wife have done BBY mountain and Fromme, and Seymour in one Saturday.
NEver judge a rider by what he rides.

AC/DC, time for therm to retire. They had their hayday in the early eighties.
Oasis, fuckin lame BEattles wanna be;s.
Nickelback, don't get me started.
U2, they need to retire also.
Pearl Jam, first album had a couple good tunes, the rest suck, and I can't stand Eddie Vedder's voice.
Zeppelin, put their music in a hall of fame and leave it there.
White Stripes. Jack White sounds like he's trying to drop a coiler while singing, Meg White looks and plays like a fuckin zombie on the drum kit.

99% of the newer stuff fuckin bites also. No talent.

Biggest, most viewed thread ever?

http://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=770786

Very possible. This Billy guy dissed his wife on the ewebz, then forgets to logout of the site, and wife pwns him on page 3. I have read up to page 50 something. On average, the thread was getting 12,500 views per hour. It jumped from page 20 to page 40 in the matter of hours litterally. People from around the world, incl Japan, NZ, IReland, Scotland, you name it are commenting on this tool, funny shit for sure.

Keep your clothes on please

Although it may cross the line of what is socially acceptable,it was a penis.

Get over it.

No need to be afraid, unless the guy was doing the helicopter in your front window.

Was it you? She has kids looking out the window. I would've said the same thing. Soon we won't have any parking anywhere near a trail head because of people not respecting residents near the trail heads( watershed crazy lady excluded from this).

Never ridden at Burnaby Mtn....

i love how you can see riders on an 8x8 bike, wearing full-on dainese, leatt, tld race kit and fullface helmet, and then others in spandex, 24lb ti bikes, no armour and seats up. on the same trails.

I wear leg armour and elbow as well, why? because I am self employed. If I have a freakish fall or it is wet out and the bike slides out of me, if I fuck up my knees or elbows on a rock, well I dont get paid to sit at home. Better to be safe then sorry.

Fuuuuuuuuuuu

went out to the shed with a friend. hit some new things and on the hip on the bender? trail(the one all rhe works being done too) and overshot the last hip and went over the bars, onto my head and shoulder. tons of pain right now, huge headache. not stoked.

Get checked out, seriously… especially when you have a massive headache froma crash, better to be safe then sorry. If you have a cracked veetebrae in your neck, all you have to do is turn your head the wrong way and you could end up paralyzed or worse.

Blue Mountain in Onterrible

Hopefully they haven't increased it with Pan Ams coming in 3 and a half years.

I rode it once on a rigid in 99, then moved out here in 03. At that time it was 8 bux per person I think .

There is also riding at Hardwood Hills.

Keep in mind that some areas charge user fees- Kelso, Hilton Falls.

Hardwood does also.

Yeah my biggest concern was whether the V-Tach might be a little overkill for riding out there. I'm bringing my Endorphin no matter what, as I'm getting paid to drive out there so for me it's a free trip to Moab and Fruita (where I want a pedally bike). Obviously a DH bike is more fun for DH trails, but I've had a hard time finding any info to show what the riding is like out there compared to here.

Put it this way. Blue Mountain its highest point is 740 Feet, Burnaby MOuntain is 1080 Feet.

Reign X1 2007 stolen today.

yeah thats why I email'ed the guy. I havent heard back from him yet but if I do I'll let you know. I woudnt have a chance to see it till after 5. so if 1 or two other people want to try for a quicker meet, have at it. I just think only a few should reply so he doesnt have 50 emails in his in box.

if I get a email/call back I'll need some kind of bike id, any easy way to identify this thing? even could check for a serial while checking out the bike.

edit: just saw about the post date thing, but if it helps someone have piece of mind, would still be willing to head out and take a look at it if the guy gets back to me.

let me know if you do, and pm me his email address, I email a guy on CL a couple months ago he was selling a couple bikes, nice ones really cheap, and I want to see if it is the same guy. I suspected him to be a thief, and if its the same email addy, it pretty much proves me he is. WHy else would someone sell a bike of this nature so cheap?

Bike Safes not so Safe

Yeh looks like the door is made of some type of fiberglass, bad design right there,m but if it was steel, you would need a tractor to move it.

Freeride/slope, how old is too old?

I'm 46 will be 47 this August, started riding at age of 40, being on the east coast most of my life the riding there, well there just isn't any. I do ride some stunts, but being self employed if crash and break myself, I don't get paid to be in a cast.
I do ride all trails on BBY mtn, I rode the Shore some, love it, but hurt myself pretty good a few years ago and said fuck it no more, and now getting back to the Shore, after someone actually teaching me how to ride the shit properly.
I love a good climb and even better descent. I ride Burke as well, BErt Flynn etc. Haven't been to woodlot yet, thats next. I am healthier now then I Was 20 years ago because of riding. I like riding my SS in watershed, good cardio ride.
