I don't understand this. Were they called out for not having diverse advertising? If not then this is all about patting themselves on their back. Otherwise they would just shut up and do it.
after riding Empress pretty much every time I rode that part of the mountain it finally got the better of me. Came around the last left turn and hit something, perhaps that root, twisted my bars, and over them I went. Landed with my legs dangling over the last drop. I managed to sprain my wrist and thumb so I've been out of action for a couple weeks now.
I'm not sure I'll be rushing back to the Empress in a hurry!
Pipeline was the first shore trail I ever rode as well! Loved it and haven't looked back.
I always considered Ladies Only an easy double black and have recommended it to lots of people. Even going as far as telling people I thought Pipeline was harder. I've also taken a couple of newer riders down it and quickly realized that my internal trail rating system is quite skewed. Without the option of ride arounds it can be a daunting trail for people who are inexperienced with woodwork.
I feel for their situation but it's one they've created. Catching a cab downtown can be difficult to say the least. I've been turned down by cabbies for not having cash and for living too far away.... I've never lived East of Nanaimo St. By limiting the number of licenses they've created the demand for a secondary service provider. When that provider appeared they tried to fight them instead of trying to stay ahead of them. Creating a decent hailing app can't be that hard.
We're heading to Galbraith for the first time tomorrow and I'm looking for some trail recommendations. From what I gather so far we'll be riding the South side and hitting Unemployment line at some point during the day. Is there any other can't miss trails? Maybe Prison Love?
Thanks for any info.

Just thought I would start a thread for favorite beers. There is so many craft/micro brews popping up here in Van.
Just would to like hear what may be something you really enjoy.
I will go first: Blackburn ESB @Callister
Wunderbar Kolsh @ Bridge
IPA @ Black Kettle
The Blackburn Bitter is great. The brewer Adam of Real Cask is a buddy of mine. I can be found some Sunday afternoons sitting at the Callister bar having a beer bs'ing with Adam. He works the bar Sundays and is very entertaining.
Powell Street Brewing Ode to Citra is one of my local favourites.
The newest brewery in my area is East Van Brewing but I have yet to go in. Has anyone sampled their beer yet? I see they have a pinball machine in there so I'll definitely be stopping by soon.
I see people commuting on fat bikes in the middle of the summer. I don't get it.
This is somewhere in ghe boobs thread, she changed her name to atb's sludgepot
Too much gold here to choose from: http://bb.nsmb.com/search.php?searchid=6441037[HTML_REMOVED]pp=25
When did she get a boob job? I don't remember them being that big and fake.
I went up the Hurley end of July with my pathy (31" AT's) and it was fine. The old girl has been up and down way worse. I quickly checked out Bralorne and from what I saw it's not much of a ghost town. Most of it is still inhabited. I did find a couple of old abandoned houses outside the town that were interesting to check out.
I ended up going to Lindsey. She's been great and got me back on the bike pretty quickly. It's nice being able to ask bike specific advice when the physio knows exactly what you're talking about. And the bonus is you can talk bikes the entire time she's working on you.
City hall does have end of trip facilities but they're for employees only as far as I know. You need a card to scan in. At the skytrain station I believe there's bike lockers just behind the station. I would assume you can rent them. For showers there's a Steve Nash fitness at City Square mall and Endorphin Junkies in the Crossroads building (Cambie [HTML_REMOVED] Broadway). I'm not sure how it would work if you just want to use the showers.
I've broken my 3rd and 5th metatarsal in my foot. I believe the ankle is also sprained. I'm looking for a some physio that can get me back on the bike and playing soccer as quickly as possible. Does anyone have a recommendation of someone in Vancouver? I live in East Van and work around Cambie [HTML_REMOVED] Broadway so anywhere nearby would be ideal.
