Gronross and Hellinga take on Full Boar Challenge

Good to see an image of the Bagel Wand captured for posterity.

Its' alot of work to shoot that mountain… to be honest, there isnt much on that mountain worth shooting.

At the risk of arguing on the internet, c'mon, seriously? It's lift-accessed and packed full of fantastic shooting opportunities - I've made plenty of solid shots there and it's been tons easier than most locations.

Vote for me quick?

not cool, unless they're small watermarked files.

I disagree, unless "everyone" means "mult-inational bike companies looking for ads". Helping people out isn't a crime.

Plenty of locals there so figured this'd be worth posting here - my gallery from Red Bull Exodus, along with a few choice words, is live on Bikemag.com right now:

Such a rad event! In hindsight I'm glad the weather was crappy, made for some interesting pics, but didn't feel that way at the time!

AIRprentice Photo Essay - words by Dan Gronross

Definitely a fun weekend, though that goes without saying with this crowd.

If anyone's interested, there's a few more photos on my Facebook page:

PNE playland - a great place to take your girl

The amount I enjoyed that ride is inversely proportional to the amount I care about matching jackets.

Oh yeah I know exactly the one, it's about 2 feet to the right of the 'x' here:

Serves me right for taking the easy route - I was racing my girlfriend down (she was taking Expressway) and got a bit too zesty on the tiny little double rolly thing that's just there, popped a manual down them and went just that little bit too wide. Bah!

… and as I can't ride it at the moment, thank to a broken hand, I thought I'd post a picture of it:

Apologies if this seems a little spammy but I also wanted to say thanks to those who helped me out:

Michael at Trek Bicycles
Dee at Cycles Lambert
Elayna at Fox Racing Shox
John at Race Face
Julian at Chromag
Lou at Obsession: Bikes

Without them it wouldn't have been possible… well possible but a lot less achieveable.

Deep Summer: the rejects

Thanks - I think that pretty much reinforces the fact i shouldn't be eating random berries in the bush

I'd never had wild blueberries before that weekend, and couldn't believe how good they tasted!
