Yes, it's currently working at being a very rattly paperweight.

[NBR] Money to burn

Ever wondered what happens when you run $7000 worth of camera gear over with a minivan?

I have, so I decided* to find out.

More pics [HTML_REMOVED] story on my blog

Not brought up like rinsecycle didn't in post #7?

Both the aforementioned Privateer and Ride Journal are fantastic publications that are well, well worthy of their higher cover prices.

I don't really see that as being completely true. If the pics are good enough they will pay. Supply a product that demands a dollar. It is the same attitude as buying magazines.

I was about to say the same thing. I shoot a fair bit for Bike, and get paid well for it.

136 megapixel Crankworx shot

Not gonna lie, kinda stoked about this one. It's a stitched panorama of the slopestyle crowd from Crankworx this year, that's fully zoomable and panable (if that's a word).

If you were down in the village plaza, there's a good chance you'll be able to find yourself. Unless you're in the farthest left GLC patio. Whoops.

yes.

I don't think you realise how low paying, and how mundane ;)

going through the trail photos section, it looks like it's the Shirk riding photo album :)

It's true, right now it does. I've hundreds of shots to go up there, but no time! Does anyone want a mundane, repetitive, low-paying job this fall?

Thanks everyone! Glad you like it.

Hey Dan,

I actually wanted to start a new thread about Are Photo Challenge - I think I do it right here, right now.

COngratulations for winning it. Super nice pictures, made me and Maren go back to Are (spend our honeymoon there).

You are awesome.

That's so great to hear, Mic!

These past few weeks I've been working on a refresh of my website in my (seemingly non-existant) spare time, and finally launched the first bit today.

Hope you like it, there's a bunch of shots in there that haven't been seen anywhere else yet:

Photographers: fav Whistler location & lens

… and since its 2.8 you dont have to be too picky with the light …

bites lip

Why don't you just go and use the gear you already have? And find locations that get you stoked to ride or catch your eye aesthetically?

Muddbunnies present the Vancouver premiere of Awesome Land: Women Of Dirt

I was lucky enough to win a copy of the movie last night (which was awesome..er.. land), got it signed by none other than Micayla Gatto and Tara Llanes, and am giving it away for free!

The Yukon Article Begins...

Man I loved this trip! I'd agree with Cam, definitely the best of 2009 and one of my favourites ever.

Last time I checked, flying with Air North isn't too pricey? I think Boreale have deals going with 'em too.

5dmk2 vs 7d?

Mat, how do you feel it performs at higher ISO levels say 1600-3200?

I've had mag double page spreads run from ISO 3200 [HTML_REMOVED] 6400 with the 5D Mark II - as long as you're not blowing up much past that you'll be fine.

Photo gear for sale

On what… beluga caviar?

shut it, fatty.

Regarding the extender….
1. Why are you selling it (aka, does it suck?) I want to occassionally put it on a 70-200 F4L.
2. Would you ship it to Alberta?

I actually have a sale pending on the extender, but will let you know if it doesn't work out. It doesn't suck at all, I bought it to use with a 300 shooting wildlife but never get the time. Shipping to Alberta's ok.
