Anyone here from Fort Mac?

Alberta oil is the dirtiest in the world and all I hear on the CBC is "we'll rebuild". How about fucking no! Enough. See the big picture for five seconds? It isn't about getting on a high horse, it's just time to wake the fuck up.

lol, no. Is Greenpeace your source for all this?

Kamloops 2016

been in loops a week now. rode batch yesterday. pretty good, soooooo diff than my home trails in Cumberland. i've never ridden anywhere that is active cattle range and had to open and close old timey cowboy gates. if the trails currently running for a while yet are similar, i'll be switching to more xc like tires that's for sure. anyone know when Merritt trails start going? i'm stoked for all the others in the area to open up. video of Rio looks awesome but a guy said there's lots of trees down on it at present and needs clearing and work.

In Merritt the exposed and south facing trails are going. Lower iron mountain network is starting to clear too but will probably be muck depending on weather. FB

I dont know anything about OTA cause I have zero interest in broadcasts
But I can tell you that the VPNs dont seem to work on netflix anymore. but they still work great for torrents!
only streaming service I use is netflix and then wierd websites like watch series

Same boat regarding OTA but I use the Hola chrome extension for VPN and it still works fine. Free too.

Couchtuner is my go-to for series, links are up immediately after airing. Adblock that shit though

new chainsaw time

Feral,

I went with the 170 a few years ago based on the advice from folks here and I'm super satisfied. The weight was a huge factor for me and it's nice to be able to hike around for a couple hours or ride with the saw.

She'll chew up 8" trees no problem, especially with a sharp chain. I've ground through logs bigger than the 16" bar and it was capable enough, not ideal to do that on the regular though.

How did it get in there?

Crawled in I guess. I use an open primary fermenter- well a loose fitting lid atleast. I noticed fly "shucks" around the top of the bucket, but nothing lower. I've read the CO2 layer in primary protects against bugs..

Checked on my batch yesterday in the primary fermenter.. Popped the lid and a fruit fly or two flew out, not sure if I should bottle this batch, don't really want a bunch of vinegar :crybaby:

Anyone else ever have experience with fruit flies?

Didn't see this post till late, sorry. As a general update, the core trails off the east tower were all good to go as of a few weeks ago. I'm not sure on the status of the other tower, will try to get it cleared soon.

Hope you figured er out.. A better place to get to the date conditions etc might be the FB group right here. Theres a lot more activity from locals on there..

Will do.. Thanks. Pretty fired up right now but we had some friends bail. Gonna try to still make it out and probably going to bring the XC bikes as well so we can try out some loops since the shuttles might suck with 2 guys. Looking forward to get a taste of both sides.

Would we be able to shred a quad for truck retrievals after the DH trails? Or do they spit out near pavement?

wicked. I read about the guidebook in my research, might have to grab one. We were thinking Nairn looked nice but will definitely look into Owl creek, we aren't too sure how it'll be camping since it is May long after all. Sounds like we will be spending some good time in the Mackenzie area. I'm surprised so many trails are open right now, really pumped up now. Is there a recommended shop in town to get the scoop?

Thanks for the info and resources

A trip here might be incoming for a couple friends and I this weekend, heard some great things. Can anyone give me a little info on the trails?

Preferably looking for DH shuttles, are many trails open/dry yet? Is there one sorta central riding area? Also advice on a sweet place to camp and drop a fishing line or two would be wicked..

Cheers

Legendary. Went to the liquor store and bought way too many singles and then the brewery to get a keg of red racer white ale within 15 minutes of calling. Thanks a lot!
