I like the 'bike as Porsche' analogy. I remember Mr. Andrew Summers asking me (after a particularly rad day riding WBP on my '03 Brodie Brute) the rhetorical question "…so why would I want to ride an SUV when I have access to a Ferrari?".

I bet DW is sighing a breath of relief. Congrats on the merger.

I've also done that before, left hand ring finger. As much as I tried, and as much as my buddy tried, could not get my finger back into place while on the trail so off to the hospital! My wedding ring still falls off when my hands get cold.

Most people I know who like riding, like all riding be it road/mt/trials/etc. I've recently found a renewed love for road riding and joined a gentlemen's group for Sunday rides. If you can't get up early to watch the TdF, but want to see some awesome Crit racing;
- get your ass out to North Burnaby tonight for the Giro di Burnaby.
- make time this weekend to see 1 of the 3 races happening at the Tour de White Rock.

Happy to see Shawn is still doing good work for Giant.

If this is the trail I'm thinking of, I remember dropping off the end of that (the ladder down had rotted / been removed), hitting the left side of the tranny and plowing through a rotted stump. LOL I was picking wood fibres out of my gear for weeks after!

Ride up and down the fairways dismounting to run through all the sand traps. Whew. I'm tired just thinking about it!

Burnaby mtn. Met a guy on a x bike who rode up North Road trail from the bottom. Dunno' where he went after that….but look at the map, you make a good power building circuit up there for sure.

SFU is our regular CX ride, we'll do the route shown and sometimes in reverse just to mix it up.
Next race is the GS Aldergrove in Langley…who else is going?

I did my first LTR, went and bought track wHip the next day. Now I'm on the board of directors, and won the overall B group last winter. It's so much fun, and such a great facility.

I've gone as a spectator a handfull times and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Guess you'll be at the AGM tonight? I should come by and introduce myself…
