Re: Flamethrower drone footage starting fires?

It was a video from a helicopter and it was in fact a controlled burn.  Tashi was correct on all fronts.  More bullshit from the snowflakes on the far right.

Twitter video does not show a drone starting West Coast wildfires

I wonder if the left loving liberal media and you rabid liberal supports will Kavanaugh whoever Trump nominates; which is apparently TBA 5pm Sat.

Hahahahhaah, "left loving liberal media".

That's GOLD JERRY, GOLD!

Can you name some?

Hows about instead, you find me a positive article about Trump from the MSM?

ps: Good luck.

He doesn't do much worth praising, but there was a lot of positive reaction to the normalization of the relation between Israel and UAE, Bahrain.  He is a fuck up.  Why should the media polish that turd?

I loved Airwolf... I suspect it was not nearly as cool as I thought it was.

I remember being crushed that the A-Team was on the same night & time as my basketball practice, which meant I could never see it.

Airwolf was my favourite. A mach one helicopter. Can you imagine what a terrifying death that would be?

As a kid, I always thought airwolf should fly MacGyver around.

I always thought Airwolf and Knight Rider needed to team up. They just needed a show with a cool boat to rule land, sea and air.

While we are on the subject of our latch key lives in the '80s, has anyone watched Class Action Park?

How about that big yellow scarab with the 'Hoff and Pam?

It was pretty sweet, but it would need lasers or a rocket or something.  And Hoff was already driving the car so it would have to be just Pammy.

I am with you guys.  Got my mail-in ballot coming because fuck lines.  Also, fuck the Liberals until they clean house and go back to looking like a Liberal party so I will vote NDP while holding my nose.

What do you mean, go back to being a liberal party? They have never been a liberal party, ever.

They started out as one when Wilson took over the party.  Wilson did really well in debate and managed to take the party to success with a bunch of seats in the '91 election.  They were a Liberal party at that time but Campbell ousted him when it was exposed that he was shagging Judy Tyabji and that is when they became the BC Liberals we know now.

Who was Social Credit again?

Vander Zalm is the one everyone remembers., but a lot of them became Liberals.  I read a description once that sums them up.  They are the sometimes right, sometimes center, but always against the NDP party.

Dems are a buncha' pu$$ies won't do jack shit. Remember a conservative court is a coroprate court.

They have zero options to stop them from picking the next justice.  If they win big and don't pack the courts they should all just retire and hand over the keys.

No but I saw the trailer. Looks so good

It's insane, horrible, and yet also hilarious.  The rides were so unsafe, teens ran everything and somehow parents were OK with their kids packing the place.  It was the epitome of life in the '80s.

Re: Climate Change - so I'm starting to panic a bit

Authoritarians do think long term.  2060 seems too far off, but I suppose it is better than nothing.

I am still a firm believer that if we stand a chance at all in this world it will have to be getting to a point where it is simply better economically to reduce carbon.  Making big plans sounds good but unless they have a crystal ball they can't know the timeline.  Technical disruptions in the energy market will dictate the timeline.

Anyone want to venture a guess as to what Pelosis reboot was?

You have to remember, we are not on a Fox Newsfeed.  I had to Google the reboot.  It looked liked she didn't hear him or something.  Kinda weird, but only a thing if you are looking for something.

I can't see any path that stops Mitch and Trump from appointing a new justice.  It will most likely happen after the election.  The Democrats better be willing to blow this up and pack the court.  Adding a couple of judges and picking hard left 30 somethings and then giving DC and PR statehood is their best option.  They can't keep getting kicked in the nuts and think that the high road will prevail.  The church lady will be on the Supreme Court and Roe v Wade will go down 100% if they don't.

Re: Favorite Vancouver area Neighborhoods to Live in

Cool to hear north burnaby/brentwood mentioned since that's her preference. I spent quite a bit of time there before border was locked down and definitely a nice, more quite, place to be.

Whats the Otter? Lonsdale ferry?

I work in this area and have lived in North Burnaby in the past.  It was always one of my favourite spots for the central location, but if you are into shopping or restaurants it wasn't the best.  A lot has changed in the last few years though with some large condo developments around Brentwood.  I lived up by SFU for a while as well and I really liked it up there.  You have the Burnaby Mountain trails at your door, enough stores, etc that you don't generally need to go anywhere else to shop and as a resident, you can use some of the University facilities.  It also snows there more than the rest of the city.

Curious Chup, where do you stand on the Beachcombers?

I wasn't a die-hard, but it was cool that it was shot on the Coast.  I actually knew a couple of real beachcombers.  Seeing Bruno Gerrussi looking like shit driving an old Civic with one tire in the wrecker was super depressing though.
