Re: good movies and docs

I just watched Churchill the other night and Oldman is amazing.  The Expanse series (Amazon) if you like Sci Fi with an emphasis on the Sci.

The whole thing is just a fuckin ruse anyway, babyhands was already bragging that he sent giuliani to ukraine to dig up dirt. literally his defense for impeaching was denying that.

https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-admits-giuliani-ukraine-reversing-impeachment-defense-2020-2

Doesn't matter what he does or says.

There is no consequences.

That is the biggest reveal of the Trump admin.  The American system is all bark and no bite.  What good are the checks and balances if the president can just say "nope"?  This notion that politicians will do the right thing is fucking ridiculous.

I was thinking more along the lines of four attorneys in the Stone saga quitting and the delayed sentencing in both cases (Flynn and stone).

I'll shall assume that most of you support the attorneys protesting the president or something along the lines

The attorneys can do what they want, the question is do you support the DoJ interfering in ongoing cases for friends of the president.  And not just Trump.  Would it be OK if Hillary went to court from the crimes you believe she is guilty of and was sentenced only to have Bernie's AG come in and pressure the courts to go light on her?  Regardless of your political beliefs, this is not how the system was intended to work.

What are people thinking lately about the Flynn and Stone cases?

I've hit max saturation level at this point, I just like to see all the nonsense be finished with so I don't have to hear about any Trump related stupidities. I am often dumbfounded when watching the news and they ask people why they like Trump or if they're going to vote for him and they absolutely gush over the guy like he's never made any mistakes. *Insert fake meme of Trump's mom calling him an idiot here only because it is totally apropos.

He can do no wrong in his supporters eyes. Also has made a mockery the US legal system where nothing gets enforced against him, he just says he won't cooperate and nothing happens. Funny how Clinton had to show up to court over a BJ, orange gorilla said nope.....  At this point it look like the GOP is going to win the next election with the Dems not having the strong frontrunner. I like Bernie but many voters think socialism and communism are the same thing so that will be a done deal if he gets the nomination.

I think it is a bit early to count out the Dems.  Obama didn't start looking like the candidate until May of 2008 and if Bernie is the candidate we will have to wait and see how well he pivots in the general election.  He might be socialist, but he doesn't have a lot of vulnerabilities in his voting record.  The reason a lot of people said he would have beaten Trump last time is that he could take some of the populist votes away from him as well.  What do liberal voters fear more?  Socialism or 4 more years of Trump?  2018 was a landslide for the Dems and Trump hate" was the main reason.

The Pacific is a mess this season. It's hard to get too excited about the Canucks being in first place when, on any given day, the points spread between first and fifth is only 4 points, or less.

I think some luck will get them into the playoffs, but they will get bounced in the first round because only a few guys on the team have experienced playoff intensity. But, it will be a good learning experience for them.

This is all I am hoping for.  They might get a crazy run and make it to the next round, but just being there is the most important thing for this team right now.

never has the blatantness that the system is rigged against you been more evident than now.

Once he got his acquittal he felt he was crowned king.  The interference in the Stone case is just the start of a new brazen Trump.  What does he have to lose?  The camps are entrenched on both sides and the lines rarely move at this point.  He has never worried about anyone but his base anyway and they clearly OK with anything he does to stay in power and push forward the Koch agenda.  2020 is going to come down to anger, fear, and passion, so I don't even know what I want anymore.  I think the Democrats can win as long as they stay terrified of another 4 years of Trump, but I am not making any predictions this time around.

Re: Hey Shogun

Fravor is one of the pilots to see the Tic Tac craft off the coast of San Diego.  The video was taken by the next group that went up after him that same day.

Re: Trump.

It sure feels like the endorsement of Trump's crimes by Senate Republicans has unleashed Trump 2 - Revenge of the Sith.  He fired not just Vindman, but also his twin brother that had nothing to do with it, and apparently Guiliani, Trump's personal lawyer, is reporting directly to Barr so he can vett the information he is getting from Ukraine first.  If I was Romney I would have one of my most expendable sons starting my car in the morning.

Not to worry though.  The election is coming and I am sure it will be totally cool.  There is no Russian interference to worry about, Buttigieg really is a secret Nazi serial killer and swims in billionaire pools filled with 100s.  This will all smooth over by next year.  :(

Re: Hey Shogun

I believe Fravor 100%, and Lazar 80%.

There are a lot of witnesses to the events Fravor talks about and there is no way they are all lying.  No sane person wants to jump straight to little green men, but what terrestrial explanation is there for what they saw?  I don't know the answer, but if that is the Russians or Chinese I am more afraid than if it is aliens.  The craft can go underwater FFS.

With Lazar, it's a bit trickier to sort fact from fiction, but over time his story keeps coming up as true.  People said he didn't work there, but it is clear that he did and his descriptions match up perfectly with what others have said of the facilities.  He also knew their testing times and took people out to see it, so he had inside knowledge.  His more outrageous claims of working on anti-gravity tech are at this point still not verified by anyone else that I know of, but that tech does describe what Fravor and the others have seen.

Can't tell if he is serious or joking.....

I have a hard time believing that his mind won't be mush by 2024, but a boy can dream.  Washing down pills and KFC with a Coke is not a recipe for longevity.

Trump's ranting monologue was pretty bizarre.  Something is definitely wrong with this guy.

It amazes me how anyone can be conned by Trump.  If he was just some guy that went up to speak to a crowd and I was there to see it, I would feel embarrassed for him.  We have to stop breeding so many morons.

That wasn't true then, and it isn't true now.

"America, founded on the evils of slavery, genocide and the violent exploitation of the working class, is a country defined by historical amnesia. The popular historical narrative is a celebration of the fictional virtues of white supremacy. The relentless optimism and reveling in supposed national virtues obscure truth. Nuance, complexity and moral ambiguity, along with accepting responsibility for the holocausts and genocides carried out by slaveholders, white settlers and capitalists, have never fit with America’s triumphalism. “The illusions of eternal strength and health, and of the essential goodness of people—they were the illusions of a nation, the lies of generations of frontier mothers,” F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote."

"The essential American soul is hard, isolate, stoic, and a killer".

One quote claims America is a killer, the other that America was a killer, but it is erased in mythology and replaced with "illusions of... the essential goodness of people".  Other than they are both taking a swipe at America, they are not saying the same thing.

The killing was a lot fresher when DHLawrence was around, sunny jim.

AI has long been defrocked as a tool of ruling elites.

He was only 11 years older sunnier Jim.

I did enjoy when Pelosi ripped up her copy of the speech.

So many murkans are totally butthurt by that.

Many more Venezuelans were butthurt when she applauded the self appointed POV JG

http://cepr1901.bpbuild.com/who-exactly-are-joe-biden-and-pete-buttigieg-s-bundlers/

I would say the Venezuelans worried about what Pelosi does and taking to Twitter are the lucky ones.

Years into an unprecedented crisis in Venezuela, millions are struggling to survive, unable to meet even their minimum needs for food, water and healthcare, while living under the threat of Nicolas Maduro’s policy of repression against those who express their discontent. Almost 4.8 million people have fled the country in recent years.

That is over 10% of the population, and probably 99% of them are not super fans of Maduro.  Why do you like this guy again?
