Two pieces of armour found at first yellow gate on Fromme today. PM me to identify. Thanks.
The north shore is in a precarious position right now. Few of the existing trails have dedicated maintainers; some of trails are in rough shape; rogue lines being rammed through with no thought to thier future sustainability which in turn jeopardizes the building/maintaining permits of other trails. I'm NOT criticizing the lack of volunteers as I do know the scope of what it takes to adopt a trail. But an impossible dilemma takes shape…if no adopter takes on this trail and it deterioates then the NSMBA gets slammed…or if the DNV steps in and trys a solution; then harsh criticism is ensues. Then no one wins.
Is anyone actively working on Pink Starfish? I've seen some fairly recent looking work but also some of the other woodwork is pretty well rotten through. Some nice lines on there and it would be a shame to lose it. Sadly, I have neither the time nor the skills to maintain the trail though I'd be happy to help out on a trail day!! ;)
Thanks so much for the help on Sunday! You and your friend were really big sports to lug all the cedar up for me! It would have taken me a month of Sundays to do it by myself.
Props to you for all you've done for the Washington/Seattle riding scene.
I haven't given up on exercise or taking care of myself; I've been put in a position where I had to modify/adapt my work out regime to accommodate the new found state of my health…and my body has responded successfully. I see a personal trainer who has helped develop an interesting routine fitted to my health issues and to an intensity that I want. It has, unfortunately, become obvious that things like pedaling up Fromme, the Grouse Grind and trail running are something my body reacts poorly to now; these were things I loved to do; it was not easy to give up. I have a road bike now and do 2 to 3 hour runs or I put it up in the trainer when the weather is bad; not quite the same but it is okay. Just another adjustment that had to be made.
There may be other issues going on as to why some people walk up….
I was one of the walkers yesterday. Two knee surgeries; both knees in braces; also I have a chronic illness (an auto immune disorder) that wreaks havoc on my health. The 24 to 48 hours after my weekly injection are particularly exhausting but I push through that because I know I will feel better once I get moving. I see people going by me….I kind of guess some of them are silently judging/criticizing me but…hey…they don't know as I look healthy and it is assumed I'm just lazy. And I am not lazy. My friends are very kind enough to walk with me to keep me company otherwise I generally start 30 to 45 minutes before the appointed meet time as to not slow the group down.
I take everyday on my bike as a gift.
i live in surrey, and i went with west nile screens, a friend recommended them he came to my house measured it all up and came back and put them in,friendly and fast. 604 534 7003
I tried them but the number was no longer in service, though.
Eric Estrada…OMG. I LOL'd.
were you able to make ports in them for handles?
we need some too, all our windows swing out and have 2 handles, no sliders.
This is what I need…last time I looked into this HD didn't have the hardware for this; just the regular screens.
Thanks everyone for input.
PERHAPS the problem could be that Calgary Cycle bought too much stock and are now in a panic to sell. PERHAPS Calgary Cycle underestimated how soft the economy would stay for such a high end frame.
PERHAPS knowing what is truly at play here is better than slamming Knolly bikes on the internet.
