Need a new tailgate Dakine pad. - Aug. 21, 2014, 3:19 p.m.

I just added a foam pool noodle under my Dakine pad. I found one of the hollow ones and cut it down the center half way and put that over my gate then the pad on top. Just a little extra protection for when things get airborne.

Unfortunately one of my straps is starting to tear away but otherwise love the ease and simplicity of that thing.

Did you do the reaming yourself?

I did one bike of mine (30.0 to 30.9). About 12hours later the post fit but man was it a messy to clean up.

Still loving this bike since I got it summer of 2010. Made some big upgrades this spring.

The most enjoyable but also the biggest pain in the ass was reaming the seat tube to 30.9 to fit the KS. But the 150mm of travel is so sweet!

Also did the Pike, Monarch Debonair, Trail XO's, 65mm stem and gave in to 10 speed.

Any updates on this? Really like the clean lines compared to the 2013 swoopy mess.

Haven't got out on it since. I've been on my trail bike the last few rides. Hopefully some shuttle laps this weekend and I'll report back.

38lbs. I said I'd ride it stock but that didn't last long… First ride I'm really enjoying it. Very playful, easy to manual and throw around the trail.
