Mine works great!

Hey, I just got Telus TV a month ago.
They gave me a "free" PVR as well. It great. I quite enjoy that. Rewinding live TV? Very fun.
For me, the reception is better than Shaw and definitely cheaper! I figure the cost of getting out of the contract will be absorbed by the money I am saving in 6 months.
Yes, Cam you cannot "surf" channels traditionally, (there is a bit of delay) however, I find looking a the guide, and choosing from there to be faster than channel surfing anyway.

Just my 2 cents :)

best injury I ever had....recovery wise!

Aparently this is one of the most common mtn bike injuries….right up there with collarbones. Doesn't make you feel any better does it?
Anyway, I broke my right distal radius (non-displaced) last fall…cast for 4 1/2 weeks and back to making a fist with my hand in 6 weeks. I actually rode my HT to the gym the day after the cast came off. I wasn't much good at using a brake lever or really holding on at that point. BUT, If you merely need a place to rest your arm, then you can ride…LOL
I didn't freeride for about 4 months (but it was winter and there are better things to do like SKI!) I also needed time to get my mojo back!
Personally, (and I was off work for 7 weeks) I would listen to your doc.
Why? Because it will heal RIGHT and not ever bother you again! I did ALL my physio excerises often and it strenghtened back up great!
Good luck, I feel for ya pal!

Upper Body Armour

Ah, Time to add my two cents!
I was thinking about this thread as I armoured up on Sunday. I wear a small Dainese safety jacket. Soft chest. (the hard one was terrible !) but as a D cup girl, I do believe it's all about the sports bra underneath!! ie. flatten/squish the girls and the jacket fits much better, rides up less! But, jeez, there has GOT to be a better way than a side zipper to close that thing! Makes for a bit of a struggle! (not to mention a minor show at the drop in!)
Just my thoughts. Anyone?

Who's your Daddies?

Greetings ladies…it's been a while….
I vote for Wade Simmons. Probably he's married…but darn cute!
Amazing how any random man can BECOME suddenly better looking when you see him ride well! One of the sexiest things about my ex, was watching him ride skinnies! Is that pathetic???

Levers for little hands....

Okay, and now for something like perhaps this forum was intended???
Many (most?) women have smaller hands than the average brake lever was designed for.
What happens for me, is if I want to have one or two fingers on my levers as I'm riding, it leaves me with a pretty far reach and limited grip on the bars.
I took my bike in for tuning today and enquired if they knew of any levers that had a smaller range of extension or could be dialed in tighter to the bars? Aparently not. Skinnier grips he suggested.
What do you think? (You need not have two "X" chromosomes to reply!)
Suggestioins?

(Many thanks Sharon for creating this forum!)

Hey I'm popping back up out of the woodwork… back in town.
So the last group ride was a very fun, but claimed 1 finger a couple derailers and my own ankle! Carnage for such a quick and fun rip!
Oh well. I am up for low key as well. Next week is great. Tues anyone? SFU? Ned's?

So, Smoke that sounds fun…I'm in if you sponsor me! ha ha. How about Labour Day weekend or the one before that.

Also, I will post something for a group ride next week, but if you want on the email list you have to PM me with an email address. I have a bunch so far, but some folks forgot to include their address.
