I would disagree. I thought, for the first time ever, that the outcome was correct.

I do think, overall, McDermott's runs always seemed to score low. I thought he was in first almost every round but he always scored badly. He ended up in second which was where I thought was where he should have, after Lacondeguy's run.

In the end, the other runs don't count in the final, so regardless of how well or poor someone should have or would have done, the final is what counts. At least thats how I think I heard the loud mouth announce it. If thats the case, other rounds don't count, he can be smooth 800 runs in a row, if the proverbial "he" doesn't nail it last run, it doesn't count worth beans. Maybe someone who knows more about the judging can clarify :)

Overall crankworx review - best media coverage, finally, it took them long enough to get proper coverage of the entire set of events. The top runs were some of the best all time and the last hit fun to watch. :)

Maybe its where I was located or my automatic aversion to the crankworx commentator, but I didn't hear squat. I had a great view, nice tv to watch the upper stuff and some good conversation at a table I was at. No need to listen to some loud mouth on the pa system :)

Whatever I can find that fits. I am 14 to 16 depending on manufacturer and most "bike" specific companies don't make diddly in my size.

What hotel are you staying in?…most of the higher end hotels have built in nanny care and/or a company they tend to use/recommend. Might be good to contact the hotel you are staying with and see if they have anyone to recommend.

There is always kids club at the Westin. I don't know what range they take.

Rumor I heard is rogers acted high and mighty when the iphone debuted last year. Then after apple snagged ~20% of the smartphone market in 8 months, they came back begging. Apparently apple was actually in talks with telus too, so they drove a pretty hard deal to rogers afterward.

No chance, the iphone will not work on telus's or bells network, not unless they build a multi radio phone with cdma and gsm radios built in, blackberry is working on one btw, so it will work wifi, cdma and gsm. Rogers knows that as well, so there was no hard bargaining :) It was well beyond smoke and mirrors, anyone who saw the initial press releases wouldn't have fallen for it. I think I remember the rumours, but I think they were more hopeful techs wanting a cdma option.

Telus has rights to sell a phone that is almost there (decent world coverage and regular cdma), but it is not the iphone. I would love to see a multi radio iphone, that would be a good move. albeit an expensive one (and they couldn't be so thin with the other radio)

I forget the exact prices but rogers isn't offering unlimited and the iphone will be using the price tiered for their existing data. If you want the pricing it will fall in line with their 3g/hsdpa wireless cards and phones. Its a tiered plan that progresses as you use more data. Once you hit 100$ it is a per kb usage cost.

Of course there are rumours of an unlimited plan which would be a godsend for everyone involved. It would also put us on par with europe and asia. I think it has to be the next direction especially with their tv/video phones. If data remains at the current cost no one will end up using their fancy new video features.

My corporate rep at this point, believes, even as an existing customer you would need to extend your existing contract another 3 years. Same way you do if you have a plan and want a new phone at the "cheap" pricing. Of course there is always the option to buy a cracked phone and buy any plan you want, but the cost will be rather huge without the 3 year plan attached.

Ya, the asspains don't officially allow bikes. But they run understaffs and I betcha you can get the bikes in easily. You could always go around and come in the side entrance by the mountain.

Depends on the hotel. The higher end hotels will not allow you to stay, if you happen to get lucky and find a lazy fd worker, consider yourself, well, lucky.

I think they just are worried that you could party and break things I guess, it would probably be fine if you talk with the manager and possibly put down a damage deposit?

This is definitely the case, its become very very expensive to except minors. Thats why there is usually even a minimum number of nights you can stay. 19 years old, 125$ for 2 nights usually scares minors with 10 friends and lots of booze away.

The depoit idea is not a horrible idea and it sometimes works, as long as it is a cash deposit. Some still won't except but this is something you should discuss when booking

hughes said he has one fight left in him - serra. Unfortunately, I see the serra fight going alot like this alvez fight did. Hughes not being able to do anything on the ground, and getting knocked out during stand up.

Not really a serra fan. He has been a second rate fighter for a long time who came up in ranks. Good for him, but I don't know if he can sustain. Hughes has slowed enough to meet him in the middle, but I still think if hughes has the passion behind his fight, he can always step up. Serra might have had his 15minutes of great fighting. At least I hope, I always like to see great fighters leave on a high note. Like to many sports to many fighters hang on past their winning prime.

For anyone that heard about the Elite xc fight with Kimbo Slice, and all that controversy - it was the same referee that stopped the brandon vera fight.

Very weak fight with kimbo looking like crap on the ground, and both looking like 3rd rate mma fighters. Kudos to kimbo for being humble and understanding what he needs to do to progress, its a rare trait. End of the fight got called WAY to early imo, but keep in mind this new division is for the public, hence why cbc showed it, so having someone pummeled until their eyes role back into the back of their head wouldn't do well for ratings amongst the new fans. Good/bad thing…meh…I think its bad.

Did you read anything about the other controversy. It looked like kimbo tapped out at around 1.5minutes. That by itself is causing a crap load of stink.

If its the same ref, he is going to have some issues. A couple of more bad fights for him and he won't be around much longer.
