FYI, this thread belongs in NBR
It's a video and about bikes. It's fine in this forum.
Wait till you see NWD 9 He does switch 3 whips, barrell rolls off a wall ride and sends monster exposed faces in China. He has been at the top and will continue to be there.
Well thanks for ruining the surprise.
I feel bad for Bearclaw and Bourdo who spent all the day working on their lines. They had little to no practice to put together the hardest lines of the day, and ended up getting beat by guys practicing all day on pre-made lines. I hope the organizers give all riders the same amount of time to practice if they do it again.
Makes for gnarlier lines and gives those guys a chance to dial them in !
Word, that was the reason why I was really skeptical of the pre-made stuff. I feel that, in a way, it penalized folks who wanted to do something more original than what was presented. For me, the most interesting thing about the Rampage of previous years was the creativity that the contest allowed. The runs that I was always the most excited about were the ones that took a different approach and did the things that others weren't doing. From what I can tell from the limited media that I've seen from this contest, most riders were all riding the same one or two lines down the mountain.
Quick Look over the site, seems to me that the site has pro-CO2 to blame bent. Like the article that discounts geologists that they call Climate Change Deniers.
First of all, yes. It's clear the folks on that site believe that CO2 is the cause of global warming, as does every scientist that I have ever talked to about the subject and pretty much every serious paper or article I've ever read on the subject.
Second of all, the article in question did a pretty good job of explaining exactly why it was they were discounting the geologists who they called "Climate Change Deniers."
I remember them as riding the Nirvana wave, and I liked a couple songs, but I never did listen to them much.
Still liked the rendition was done.
Nirvana was great, but Pearl Jam was and is better. Greatest band of the nineties by far.
but i liked regan's small government/anti union ways.
What exactly do you mean by "small government ways."
Under Reagan the military-industrial complex, the prison-industrial complex and the war on drugs all increased exponentially. He increased taxes on the lower and middle class. Under Reagan, America intervened in an astounding number of foreign countries and propped an even larger number of brutal, unpopular, right wing dictatorships. All the while he dramatically increased government welfare for large multinational corporations.
These are not the marks of a small government. Small governments don't interfere with popular uprisings in other nation. Small governments increase civil liberties of their own citizens. Small governments decrease government spending and decrease taxes on those citizens who really need it. Reagan didn't do any of these things, not even close.
thats like saying, "why would a band record an album anymore? no one will buy it."
I always wonder that. Bands would be a lot better off by following Bomb the Music Industry's example and just posting all of their music online for free. There is very little money in cds and most bands make most of their money playing shows anyways.
