Euros/Pounds

VBCE has a few branches and Moneyway at park royal. If you're changing more than 10k it's worth it to call around and see who'll give you the best price.

The Great Salt Famine of 2017

I heard on the radio today that the city handed out 9000 tickets to homeowners for not having their sidewalks cleared. $250

Anyone know how I go about sending the city a bill for the 6" deep ice ruts in my back alley?

How much do you know about financial independence?

so, how's your badassity?

64% net savings rate for us this past year. The 10 year plan is turning into an 8 year plan.

This is impressive but hard to quantify without knowing your household income. That kind of savings rate would be a lot easier to do if you were bringing in say 200k vs 50k.

Maybe a better comparison would be how much of an improvement was this year over last year? What would you say we're the three biggest contributing factors to your success?

You're obviously a MMM fan, but how far have you taken it? Are you getting groceries on your bike or just cutting down on meals out?

Either way, good work. I like reading this thread whenever it pops up.

BC lays out 5 "conditions for approval" of Northern Gateway

Meanwhile, the Saudis are raising their output, Iran will keep pumping with smaller and smaller margins. They want to put high-cost producers like the Canada and the US out of business. So have fun with it, guys.

Maybe after the days of being an "energy superpower" those pipelines could be re-engineered to pump water from the Coast back to the prairies.

Careful with your sources. Kilduff has been calling for $25 oil since January and look at it now. Crude futures are even up a little, maybe they decided to play nice after all.

NSMBA AGM TONIGHT!

I had to leave after the vote, anything interesting come up in the q[HTML_REMOVED]a or trail updates? What time did it end up finishing? I left at 1045 and it seemed like there was still a lot to go.

vinyl decal design

Might be worth trying out a freelancer on fiverr

Send them your image and ask if they can jazz it up and see what they come up with. Not a huge investment if one or two don't work out.

The NSMB Random Joke Thread

Two atoms walking down the road and one turns to the other and says "hey I think I lost an electron". The other says "you sure?" First one says "yeah I'm positive."

500 laps 5 different (Seymour) trails

New challenge for you
Much like the 2011 6 Hour Enduro on Fromme
Do as many different trails as you can non-stop on Lower Seymour
I see only 6 different enough legal climbs that can be cleaned with normal pedalling/rolling (not excessive trials hops) :
• Start at your favourite pub/micro-brew near sea level, UP Riverside, Fishermans, Hyannis Connector, Greenland, Ridge Racer, Power Line to Mushroom to Salvation. DOWN Pingu Pangor, right on Bridal Path to…
• UP Academy, RTC, Pussy Foot, Penny Lane, Good Sir Martin then BP to original BP/Severed entrance. DOWN flatter portion of Severed to John Deer, right on Bridal Path to Cardiac, then
• UP Salamander to Rapid Transit to Good Sir Martin (some repetition on RTC, Pussy Foot and Penny Lane, but since 2 different enough ways in that we can count both) BP Powerline DOWN Neutered Dick, Severed, Shorn, up over rocky knoll and original C Buster (aka Applicator), Cardiac Bypass
• UP Sticks n Stones 1 and 2 to Cardiac Bypass, Bridal Path, all Salamander, RnR, flat bit of C Buster and Asian Adonis (I have cleaned to within 5 m of the Baden Powell new Severed intersection, then had a stupid 1 dab, but I think Andy will get it) DOWN left on Baden Powell and out to Powerline, Forever After, High School Loop, east on Bridal Path and…
• UP New Buck 2.0 DOWN Boogie Man and Boogie Nights to Empress Bypass then…
• UP Pavement to Pinch Flat Alley or CBC (if it still counts as Lower Seymour) DOWN CBC and/or TNT, Cabin, Neds and out to Powerline at Greenland intersection, cross bridge to Hyannis Connector, Fishermans, Riverside, PUB

Could add in Blairview/Hill Ave to Bridal Path trail, Dales, Incline, Corkscrew some how

If you set this up, please post about it, I would be interested.

The Decline of Vancouver.

Could easily happen.

Easily? Pls elaborate.

Or did you mean raise TO 2.4%?

Seeing as how they haven't been able to raise rates by .25% in the last 10 years, even a total of 1% by the end of 2017 would be a big move.

Lost Gloves Eagle Mtn Lot

Left my gloves in the parking lot at the school at the bottom of the IMBY climb on Eagle today. Blue POC. A friend went to check for me but no dice.

If you found/find them I've got some beers for you.
