Roof racks

Go for a ride south of the boarder and pick them up at REI for 169 bucks. Good riding and cheaper racks.

Heathen asks out loud: Is the 26er hardtail dead?

My most ridden bike is a steal hardtail with 26 inch wheels and a 9mm 4 inch travel fork. I have yet to find a trail I can not ride and enjoy. I have nothing against 29ers at all but do not find them that great. They have there place the same way a cruiser has a place on a bmx track. If a mountain bike is to hard for you to ride than a 29er is a great option.

World Cup # 1

I worked it out to start at 5:30am. So I figure the top riders will be coming down at about 7:00

Kashima Shocks Make a Difference?

I have two with kashima and two without. I can not tell the difference. But what do I know?

MEC to sell Ghost Brand Mountain Bikes

If mec is so bad, why do so many outdoor fitters thrive around the Vancouver location?

Why do the US bike shops not whine as badly as the Can. Bike shops, is REI not pretty much the same as MEC?

Yes REI is the same. I believe it was started by climbers as well.

Haters will hate and lovers will love. I am in the middle and could care less about either.

PS why have you not called me for a night ride.

Making outdoor gear available to the masses? Yeah, they went so terribly wrong with that one.
/sarcasm.

Why does everyone hate on MEC so much?

The reason MEC was started compared to what it has become is VERY DIFFERENT. Weather it is For Good or bad can be argued all day long. The Fact there concept has changed can not be argued though. It has become an outdoor superstore for the average Joe.

Too bad your comment is ignorant.

To bad your comments on anything Specialized is irrelevant.

NSMB - 2012 AM 29er build off

I jumped on that early bandwagon with my Team Moron / Marin. I vaguely remember it was good for climbing and bunny hopping, but pretty useless for everything else.

(Being pedantic, but didn't Tomac switch to drops due to him taking up pro road racing as he wanted his MTB and road bike to have the same riding position? He never had drops on his MTB earlier in his career i.e. when he rode for Mongoose :nerd:)

Wikipedia is great. Sorry I was going on what I remembered at the time. I was a roadie when I was a Tomac fan. I Thought he went from bmx to road. Guess that doesnt really make much sense though.

The Webbie Show (bmx)

Good thing mtb riders dont ride bmx. If they did they would all be on cruisers saying how much better the 24 inch wheel is.

NSMB - 2012 AM 29er build off

1990…

ya ya Tomac ran drops back in the day because of his road back ground. Lucky he does not do it now or the band wagon would begin.

^Wondering when this shitshow would happen? Take that off any sweet jumps?

those jump very well actually. its only a matter of time until someone puts drop bars on a mtb. Get a couple pros to say how cool it is and the band wagon begins.

Is 9spd done?

Yes… They have been telling me how to pedal bikes for over 15 years.

figures they would be wrong about that as well.

granny gears for racing make perfect sense but most of us ride for fun and involves some stopping. I prefer to mash the gears and get a better workout. 1x10 is going to make you stronger.

Is that what the big S told you to do?
