Arc'teryx stinger bib pant.

Did you try head office in NV?

Yes. I tried returning them to there store on w 4th but they were told I had to return them to place of purchase(still had tags at the time).Went back to place of purchase 1 week later and they had going out of business signs everywhere. No indication of that when the pants were purchased. I foolishly took the tags off figuring I had to make them work. After talking with them on the phone today they said they would not help me because even though they have not been worn they can not sell them without the tags. I kinda get it but after throwing down over 2300 bucks on two jackets and two pairs of pants I expected a little help from them.

I always thought Gwin could win on any bike but Specialized proved me wrong.

Why no 4X summer season?

You can race your mtb in cruiser class at any bmx race.People use Abby indoor for training in the off season. Riding a MTB around a bmx track is not that fun so far fewer people are willing to do it in the summer. 4X is all but dead and I dont see it making a come back even with the Pro Tour.

Bike travel bags

A regular cardboard bike box will work fine. between my girlfriend and I we have packed up our bikes many many times. I would say at least 40 times and we never had any issues. How do you think your bike got here in the first place?

Anyone repaired a stripped crank?

thanks, not carbon, looks like it's not too expensive to get done, just a pain when I was getting ready for a ride!

go to a bike shop first to see if they can tap them. left crank is revers thread so a regular tap will not work. I have tapped out cranks many times with success.

one issue with racing in BC

as one who is just getting back into the sport after a 10yr layoff one thing i have noticed that differs from my day and racing with CBC is the fact in my day you had too wear gloves and have no exposed skin , today it seems like a bunch of buddies out for a weekend rip , t shirts and shorts with no gloves have no place on race course during a sanctioned events . it,s funny they allow that put one can not film their race or practice runs as the cameras may hurt the rider during the crash !!! what about the open gap double jumps that are do or die that are becoming popular on certain courses those are safer then a camera mounted on ones helmet !!! i think not LOL .

I think your memory is a little off. My first B.C. cup race was in 93 and I rode my xc bike with the seat lowered while wearing lycra shorts a sleeveless xc jersey and an xc helmet. I think I got away with wearing a skid lid till late 90's early 2000. There were a couple years after that they tried to pull off the no skin rule even though it was never a UCI rule.

G3 splitboard skins

http://www.blackdiamondequipment.com/en-us/shop/ski/skins/glue-renew-transfer

everybody realizes they can reglue^^ skins?

AND I don't see why you couldn't reglue a G3 skin with Ascension glue if you really got the hate on for G3 OR put acsension parts on a G3 skin or G3 parts on an ascension skin … check out the handy how to vid in the link

This is NOT an old skin reglue issue. These were new never used skins.
There is a new unhappy customer thread started on splitboard.com for the same issues. I will keep peaple posted if I learn something new.

Dave Maybe you can talk to g3 about it and let us know whats up. Shit if I have seen it and heard of it from others than surly they have as well. It might have just been a bad batch of glue on a batch of skins.

For the record I have nothing against Dave or G3. I as a consumer am just putting out feelers to see how big of an issue it is.

G3 splitboard skins

well 4 million vert from Andy is hard to argue with. I am sure I would be fine on any skins..and as I always say if you think I am lying just cause I am sponsored it says more about you than me…your not in this business for long if your a liar….never had a glue problem or skin problem ever….if I slide back once or twice it is not big deal and I don't blame it on the skins. If you want to complain about sliding back then try cross country skiing a 80km loppet and getting the wax wrong…we still don't complain, we just dig in and rip.

And if you think cause I get paid and free shit, i never have to worry about issues your wrong, just never had any on any equipment in 23 years, hope you get the issues sorted with your skins, the boyz at g3 are great guys easy to talk to but I think like anything more issues are caused by misuse, not reading instructions, or rushin to do stuff than bad gear, all of it is so good these days!

For example since the North face has put out their abs bag we have had a number of problems as they store the bag in store with no cartridge, but the handle in, which in an abs is a big no no, guys see the pack pull the handle and dry fire the bag which can damage the pin, some worker in a store did this, then actually sold it and the guy who bought it when test firing said it never went off…then we had to explain what had happened and we need the bag back to see if any internal parts are damaged..all of this because North Face has all their bags in the store and no one has done any research on them or bothered to learn…this is not the answer to every problem but a lot of things are misuse by store, misuse by customers, that is why instructions come with…

Skins are pretty easy, pull plastic wrap off, use skin tool, fold skins in thirds and at the end of the day dry them out..during the summer put mesh between skins and store in dry dark place..next season pull them out and use again…

I did not set out to diss G3 skins. I used tractor skins for 3 years with no issues. The Two sets of G3 skins I had this year were a nightmare. I have done some checking around on other forums(splitboard.com and snowboard.com) and have found that the G3 skins for splitboards have started to get a reputation for snow packing between the skin and the board.

I dont give a shit if I slip a few times or dont glide as fast as the guy in front of me. But If I pay almost 200 bucks for a set of skins they better at least stay solid on my board for one run. I dont care if someone has skinned 10 million miles with G3 skins with no problems. The bottom line is you rely on your skins to get you in and out of areas problem free. The fact that this is happening at all is laim and I hope they figure it out.

Yes they are good at replacing them but that does not help you when you are 20km out and your skin has 10 pounds of snow stuck under it.

G3 splitboard skins

Update. Went out on a brand new set of replaced g3 split skins today. Long story short they were worse than my first pair. Maybe some people have had success with these but I sure have not.

Sled Season starts off DEEP!

Ha Ha Awesome!!
Yeah if someone arrives before you skiing or sledding how would they know it was"YOUR'S" The early bird gets the worm. Head to a park and you can ski forever with first tracks! But if your on crown land there are many ways to get there.

If you want to get there first, hike earlier or faster…

Spoken like a true sledder. If you cant tell someone is skiing up to a line you are an idiot. But the lame part is they do know what is going on but dont care.

Sled Season starts off DEEP!

What's the etiquette for sleds vs skis? We hiked up for a run and seconds before we went to drop in, 3 dudes on sleds blew by us ripping the run to shreds… We were some kind of choked.

Thoughts?

There is no etiquette for sledders. You Need to go to zones where sledders are not allowed. Though There are some real Douchbag Sledders who find there way into Those zones as well.
