TOP 5 - What are the best **lowish-cost** NEW dirt jumpers on the Market?

Hello Boys & Girls, another one of my "I only come here for intel when i am being too lazy to do the research myself"!

I'm looking to sell one of the big-bikes and get a new dirt jumper. What are everyone's thoughts (and what DEALS have you found) on the best new Dirt Jumpers out there right now? Im thinking the direct-to-consumer ones but im certainly open to whatever.

Hopefully others find value in this intel as well.

cheers

Re: CBC - what’s happening?

IMO, just go build boys/girls. Be smart about it, but build.

Also Burke and Squamish are MUCH better for building. They are the new "North Shore".

Re: Too old to jump?

Lots of great advise in here. I too am a 40+ year old and I still jump lots,  but I got more into jumping in my 30's. The secret learning tool I found that super charged my learning curve was very simple, ride jumps on a chainless, brakeless BMX.

Trains both your mind (stay off the brakes) and your body (pump and pop). Seriously, it works. Once you get passed the initial fear (and your first few cases) you'll be flying!  ...plus just the feeling of having all your fingers wrapped around your grips cause there are no levers is really nice.

Re: Info Request- Kid friendly loops from Alice Lake campground (from Ride Planning...)

ya we were going to ride 'Man Boobs' but ended up taking the 'corners' trails down to 'Tracks from Hell' then pretty much fumbled our way down from there. Both my kids were on 24" DJ hardtails so there was some whining for suspension on the way down and me yelling back at them "JUST PICK YOUR LINES BETTER!!!"

hahahaha ;)

Re: North Shore Trail Riding Etiquette and Behavior in a Global Pandemic

Thanks for the update guys. Will be happy to get the EASY access back!

...remember though if you are getting impatient, if you just throw your bike on your back and dash through the bush for a few mins you can get into the trail network on any of the mountains from any number of random places.

Do the Roadies now rule Seymour?

Howdie guys! Haven't been on the boards in a while but my last few trips up seymour got me wondering...   Do Roadies now rule Seymour??

ie: they take up a lane and a half (at least) on their goofy ass ride up, then take up the entire lane on the way down.  Have all of the crazy shuttle monkeys gone so soft that this is just the way the mountain is now?

cheers all!  ;-D
