Maribor DH World Cup: Proof the Canadians Are Coming - April 30, 2019, 2:23 p.m.

Great article and really glad to see more Canadian representation coming up the ranks.

I've had that "why aren't Canadians better represented in the WC" and I've never really had a good answer...

Uncle Dave E-Explains Himself - Sept. 19, 2018, 9:10 p.m.

I understand where you are coming from but I think this site is not your typical mtb site, it is a far cry from your typical "glowing" review site that is the standard. NSMB NOT discussing eMTB would be a problem in my opinion. Most other MTB sites I see out there, especially the European ones, come off as a marketing channel for the technology.

NSMB, via Dave, is aware of the fine-line they are walking but come off more as journalistic about it than most sites. This is likely to the political history around MTB in their own backyard and aware of how this new type of tech will have impacts on usage. This is the reason I have been coming to this site since the early 2000s.

Drunk on Press Junket Lemonade - Sept. 18, 2018, 4:01 p.m.

I am quiet happy to have Uncle Dave be the one to write these upcoming articles. Going to be a pretty good series methinks.

Manitou and Hayes Plotting a Comeback - Aug. 30, 2018, 11:04 a.m.

Why has nobody thought of set screws for brakes before?!? The OCD in me is opening up my wallet. I have fond memories of moving from mechanical discs to the Hayes Mag.

Have been on a Mattoc Pro with IRT  for a couple years and it’s been stellar.

Racing Winter with Yeti/Fox Factory Rider, Shawn Neer - May 23, 2018, 11:13 a.m.

Or carbon bike...

Racing Winter with Yeti/Fox Factory Rider, Shawn Neer - May 23, 2018, 7:06 a.m.

Fall, especially late fall, is my favourite time to ride. This was a great video and I now want to go to Golden!

Behind The Scenes with Danny MacAskill - May 5, 2018, 7:35 a.m.

This promo video is doing its job, I really want to go to Switzerland now.

World's Lightest Mountain Bike? (4.5kg/9.9lbs) - April 10, 2018, 1:07 p.m.

So did I. Had to go back and look at the pic of the bike.

What Happened to Tyler "Super T" Klassen - March 8, 2018, 2:57 p.m.

That really was one of the best interviews I've seen. Definitely leaves you with more questions though...

Dear Uncle Dave - I Can't Decide What Bike to Buy! - Jan. 24, 2018, 2:20 p.m.

It pops into my mind whenever I'm hesitating on a section.

Sage words to live by.

Dear Uncle Dave - I Can't Decide What Bike to Buy! - Jan. 24, 2018, 1:49 p.m.

Just chiming in to say I would definitely get in on that first batch.  "I begrudgingly ride up mountains because I enjoy coming down them"

Fun fact I still regularly wear my NSMB shirt from the early 2000s that has a freerider on the back with "commit or eat shit" on it. Still a favourite of mine.

Manitou Mattoc Pro Fork - Jan. 23, 2018, 10:13 a.m.

Ya new seals seem like a good idea. Was looking at after-market but sounds like the OEM may be the way to go.

Manitou Mattoc Pro Fork - Jan. 21, 2018, 7:30 a.m.

I was looking forward to this review. Ive been on a first gen Mattoc Pro for two years and definitely find it an under rated fork. I'm no lightweight and rode this fork several days at silver star, there is some flex but nothing beyond expected of a single crown i this category.

I have an Irt on order with S4 and cant wait to install

Going to Wide Bars (and back again) - Dec. 31, 2017, 8:44 a.m.

I’ve always found the drive to stupid wide bars regardless of rider size interesting. Too wide and you run into issues with narrow trails. I recently jumped from 710 to 760 and found a sweet spot for me but still sometimes feel wide for those narrower trails. I’m 6’2” and fairly broad.

Five Ten Kestrel Lace Clipless Shoes - Dec. 8, 2017, 7:04 p.m.

Thanks! Will check those out.
