Shimano USA slashes prices. Will it happen in Canada?

That was kind of the point….

If you're going to buy NX because of the price point, and now can pay a touch more to get XT (or perhaps less for SLX 11 in the future), isn't that a no brainer?

Also, NX would be taking away Shimano sales anyway because of the use of the standard freehub body.

And who is to say that CRC can't/won't sell for cheaper now?

edit Hopefully this all translates into lower bike pricing for 2017.

I guess you can say.. sram released NX to compete with Shimano.

Also, I think this is pretty old news… maybe not to consumers but for shop employees.
They quoted 119 usd to xt brake and we've had xt brake for 150~160 as CDN MSRP for the entire winter now

yeah, nx would be deore but I can't really see shimano releasing deore in 11spd with 11-42 cassette; at least not yet but if they released slx 11spd, it'll be at a similar price point if not cheaper than nx

release of Sram NX likely played some role in this….

highly doubt it.
Article published on the 10th and NX announced on the 11th
Shimano pricing's been fair compared to Sram. For instance, xt 11spd cassette at $150 CAD vs XT equivalent Sram XO1 cassette at 520 retail
If anything, shimano will release slx 11spd to compete with NX?

title should read, "Shimano USA slashes prices to compete with CRC"

Standard shock on Enduro

Problem is the mount is different for 2010-2012 and 2013+ Enduros. For the former, only choice is either RP23 or (if you can get hold of one) DHX RC2.

Bikeyoke is a new option for here, but there is the problem of stroke length. Enduros run 216x54, So either run a 200x51 with the bikeyoke and loose some travel or try to limit stroke lenght on a 200x57.

Anyone tried to limit stroke length on Monarch RC3? Or on a coil shock for that matter?

Those coil shock on 2010~2012 enduro has plastic puck to limit the travel.
If you remove the puck it's 8.5x2.5. You can make one yourself to limit the stroke to 2.125

Think it should be the same for air shock, physically measure the shock i2i and stroke. Very likely to have a puck inside to limit the travel

NSMB- 2016 - Mountain Bike Tread (Full Suspension)

That is the worst. It says the rider has no clue how to set up a bike.

or it's rolled forward and brake levers are perpendicular to the ground

Having an issue with DT Swiss Star Ratchet

The 36t ratchets were around $40-50cdn msrp when they first came out, believe it or not. It was a shock when they doubled in price after the first year. I can't believe they're to up [HTML_REMOVED]$150 now!!

yeah.. I remember buying them couple years back for just 40 bucks for a set.

Having an issue with DT Swiss Star Ratchet

Jenson says $94US for ratchet, springs [HTML_REMOVED] grease (a little cheaper just for ratchet):

Having an issue with DT Swiss Star Ratchet

18t ratchet shouldn't be 190 bucks, should be max 40~50

Only the 54t and 36t ratchet retails for 170~190 from canadian distributor. Not sure why there's huge markup for those latter two ratchet upgrades.

2016 Taco

Canyon and colorado is pretty huge for it's class. Size wise, it's almost as big as the fullsize.

Buddy of mine picked up new tacoma in burnt orange in access cab. Nice interior and all but the new v6 is even gutless. I think the biggest selling point in TRD model is the crawl control feature
