Re: Economic Crash Cycles - ~10 years apart, 3 times now

Re: Economic Crash Cycles - ~10 years apart, 3 times now

Just got lucky picking random answers in the multiple-choice Exam Of Life

But this is a huge economic crash, many many orders of magnitude bigger than the .com or RE bust

COVID-19 has literally stopped the world, the ramifications are just too big to ponder

still I'm sure somebody will make make money off of COVID

selling short ?

Re: Whats your brightside POV from COVID?

With both craft brews shut down I'm spending a whole bunch less money on Beer, almost nothing on gas which has gone down, not spending money to ski or apres skiing

but I had to cut the rent so not making as much $$$ from the tenant, $ wise its probably a wash or actualy maybe I'm a little ahead

Re: Whats your brightside POV from COVID?

I was spending a bunch of cash in the beermuda triangle AKA the 2 craft brew just a few blocks from my house but since they closed I am not spending money on beer and IME wine is easier on my constitution

Re: Should Trudeau introduce a Protectionist policy?

I believe other countries have protectionist policies against forgien RE investment,

ferinstance  you cant own property in Bali unless you hold an indonesian passport,

i think there might be something similar in Auz ?

its also a method of money Laundering

But I think in Vangroovy that ship has sailed  ... thanx to your Christy Clarke government

Re: Economic Crash Cycles - ~10 years apart, 3 times now

yup stuff goes up stuff goes down, buy low/sell high, so I ^^  dodged the 08-09 RE bubble by selling out in feb 2007 to  ski/drink beer/smoke dope and chase a woman,

so when the bottom fell out I was sitting entirely in cash, I was so buzzed i forgot to reinvest  any of it so I missed the next stock market crash

all by accident totally whoosh ... do I know how to pick em eh ?

Switchbacks are easy as long as they're not on flat ground. Everybody tells me it must be impossible to get that bike through switchbacks, but guess what? It's actually easier. Don't know why, probably because steep inside lines don't seem as steep anymore, so I attack them with more confidence.

Big wheels, more stability more speed going down OR up, riding the banks of corners, ride over stuff or pick lines where  I previously i would have ridden around obstacles

Rich people who shorted stocks a couple weeks ago have made a killing. Exact opposite for your average Joe or for pension funds, where the investment people advised to hold for the long run.

This ^^ , my pension fund was almost 100% funded before this started so it will just keep coming, I'm down 31% on funds the money guy said let it go down some more and maybe we switch some funds ,

of more immediate concern I am self quarantine  ing and on my last bottle of Pinot Noir ,

Oh the humanity

Re: What is to come from COVID-19

i think of it like a train with 130 cars,  you thro the emergency brake and they all run into the car in front thats the economy

my buddy is really worried about business commitments both to LL and  customers who have paid up front, so as I point out you paid rent for the last 7 years, if Buddy LL kicks you a good tenant out, there is no one else with money to rent that space so he has a vested interest in You being successful and paying him rent

I have kind of always done that with my tennats but no where is this more apparent than now ...we all need to win

Re: Whats your brightside POV from COVID?

maybe you get the ass drying feature if you pay 4 figures for a seperate chunk of porcelin in a new high end bathroom which will need 115V for the nintendo control panel dryer yada yada

or on the lower end for 46.20 you get some hardware to sandwich between your seat and the bowl, when you turn a knob a jet drops down to spray yer asshole with water

I got this one for 46.20 from Amazon a one time only cost

so think about how much TP you use ?

Yer ass ends up is clean thenyou just dry it however you would dry a body part
