Re: winter chain lube

IME ust don't leave it outside at -20 or the consistancy is altered to where it doesnt penetrate but you can add a little water to thin

I still get some buildup of wax n dirt but its much cleaner in general

you have to clean off all the old petro lube or shipping grease

Simple green type chain cleaner ^^ and it tells you in the write up not to soak parts so i would assume all the simple greens are bad to leave parts soaking ?

I found a jug of that MEC Bio-cycle chain cleaner  under the sink probably from 15-20 yrs ago and it sez on the label " do not soak parts  for > 12hrs " I had no idea it was harmful to metal parts

given that camp fuel or Naptha is only 22$ a US gallon other than the flamability factor it looks a cheaper/ better option

Opened by the end of January? Seems possible if it were summer, but this time of year could be a bad time for some of the construction required.

In view of all the other stuff that needs fixing and the fact hy 8 is not all that important except of course to people who live there,  if you are talking about a new highway 8  I would bet at least a couple years

a rain/ snow event this time of year can be especialy bad cuz it all comes down instead of staying in the alpine, there was a oct 31 event  up here a few years ago that washed out the powerline, wet snow/ ice on roofs flooded a bunch of basements and collapsed at least one house so everyone was shoveling their roof

QAnon supporters are gathering in Dallas in anticipation that JFK will come out of hiding and reinstate Trump as president. With another group posing the alternative theory that JFK will re-take the presidency, name Michael Flynn as his VP, and install Trump to the position of "King of Kings".

The Onion has truly become redundant.

I think you mightve missed the part where Melania is a long lost or hidden descendant of the Romanovs and that was supposed to be part of unveiling.

Even if it was remotely  true, does any body believe that trump would be smart enough to use this ??

Re: Let's talk about on bike storage

If you want a tough water proof frame bag that is about the right size,

buy an lb of kicking horse coffee and use the coffee,

repurpose the bag to put your bike stuff in

Re: Looks like the Coquihalla will be closed for the winter.

while the produce section was completley bare as in absolutely zero just some turnips BUT there was actulay toilet paper so i am assuming people still have lots from when they cleaned out the TP section for covid lockdwon

I think trucks will now get down thru washington/ up into Alberta/ across west into BC but alot of stuff can just come straight across from alberta if it doesnt already

Re: Looks like the Coquihalla will be closed for the winter.

probably just spot closures

edit: BUT actualy how it goes is that it doesnt matter how much anger you exhibit, when 25 cousins/ brothers/ aunties/ nephews thro up a blockade on hy 16 and/ or the CN mainline, the 2 johnny laws on duty can't really do anything cuz there are too many citizens for a couple guys to deal with

First thing they do is call a superiour to tell them what to do next. They will need a whole bunch more johnny laws to clear out that family which could take days or even weeks, maybe the Wetsuet en will stick it out and get arrested or maybe just disperse when it looks like they are gona get arrested,

meanwhile it costs CN 1 million a day

So afterwords and moving forwards, the RCMP will still have to deal with the people of the village
