Holy shit some people's road trips are more epic than others. Yukon ho!

Ah, you're right I see the more econo EV's don't have that kind of range. I see some hit 400 mi (650km) though, wow. That's further than my current combustion engine car can go.

Looks like average EV range is currently over 250 mi (400km), not bad. https://www.google.com/amp/s/cleantechnica.com/2021/01/08/new-us-electric-vehicles-now-have-250-mile-median-driving-range/amp/

90 % of Canadians live within 100miles of the 49th parallel but then you got that other 10%  so if you are going to eliminate burning fossil fuels there needs to be more recharging stations

Nothing between here and whitehorse...you could put one at bell2 or dease, but it would be diesel powered...lol

https://www.tocwa.org.au/2018/12/11/ev-charging-with-diesel-powered-chargepod-skid-a-solution-for-locations-with-inadequate-power/

Diesel powered charge point turns out to be....still more efficient than most diesel powered cars. Someone want to do the math vs the average Canadian gas car/SUV that might make the trip?

That is mildly impressive, but theyre only getting 2-2.5 hour drive time on flat summertime highway.....getting closer .

Wait....people are still concerned about what their vehicle is "worth"....lol, its a consumable item that wears out, not an investment!

Current EV's will be worth no more than scrap value once the battery is at end of life. Planned obselecence is a wonderful thing.

https://insideevs.com/news/525820/tesla-battery-capacity-retention-90/

uhm, okay then…

Shhhh let old 3-sheets continue with his ignorance. It's just a stack of disposable AAA's powering all them EV, use em and toss em.

Well now what am i going to do with all these triple a batteries i stockpiled????

What im saying is, its an emerging, imperfect technology...im not buying into the consumer level product...yet.

And note the first phrase in the article.."according to the companies data"....

Re: New contenders for ultimate shuttle truck?

^ what he said.

I am very interested in electric trucks, but for my needs the tech just isnt there yet, so ill stick with the most fuel efficient truck i can for now.

.....and yes there are drop in high powered conversions available for the truck in the first post....just dont stray too far from a charger.

Just need to mount a roof top tent and a hi jack I'll never use or have anywhere to jack off of.

With that 70's raptor in your driveway, you'll never have to jack off again.

That’s a beaut. Make it electric and I’d buy.

Edit: just clicked through.  It sold for 196K?!?  Jebus.

haha - yeah it's pretty crazy. But if you consider the costs involved to build something like that and that BaT is often a playground for the rich to buy themselves a fancy new toy it's unfortunately not surprising to see that sort of price. There are quite a few cars that sell at eye watering prices and the only explanation seems to be people with s shitload of money to burn. That kinda goes back to what we were talking about in the Amazon thread and your comment about over consumption. When people have a million dollars to drop on a car or a multi-millions for a fancy yacht/place/house/vacation property but grade schools are going seriously unfunded and kids are doing poorly because they don't have the right resources or don't have enough to eat then you know our priorities as a society are very fucked up.

Freedom hater.

Seems like a stupid little truck that has no real purpose..

Just buy a real truck or buy a real car, whatever serves your needs.  A truck shoudnt need a hitch rack.

I try and then fall off the wagon.  Realistically the best way for me to curb my addiction to meat is to reduce as much as I can and eat locally produced meat when I do.  Also, mainly eat chicken.  The cost alone makes me eat less.  My wife is an ex-vegan so I am the problem in my house.

FO, what are your go-to meals?  My other problem is that I am not a good vegetarian cook.

Either take up hunting (which our government views as "sport", a whole other issue...) or raise chickens yourself.

Its all closed. Vancouver has been isolated. Seems like a net positive to me.

OTOH the shelves are bare at safeway, 3 shits will be using a spoon to clean his ass instead of tp

Considering most of our goods come through Edmonton, yes, people are stupid.

....and ive got all the tp i need.
