I highly recommend the Caffelatex tubeless rim strips over tape. The are reusable, no ends to peel up, and saved me from throwing my Spank rims in a fit of rage when I could not get any tape to adhere to the rim bed surface and create a reliable seal.

Paying for high quality sports clothing does hurt initially, but years down the road when you are still using them it pays off. If you are patient you can get deals too. Rapha, Gore, Velocio all had/have deals over the past two months. I have a Gore Windstopper jacket that is going on 8 years old now and is my go to jacket when it drops below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. It has more than paid for itself.

As a height challenged individual (5'4") with long legs (30.5") inseam I am intrigued by the shorter cranks. I have always run 170mm cranks on every bike (road, cross, gravel, trail) with the exception of my DH bike at 165mm. I would be inclined to try 155mm, but this would be a very expensive experiment. I am hoping many reviews and testing will pop up over the next year to give me more information and data points to go from.

I second this. My X-Fusion Slide on my older SIR 9 is getting old and the only option to replace is a rigid fork or a very low end fork. I want medium to high end forks available with 1 1/8" steerer tubes. I know that is only a dream though.

Another quote I tell my kids and riding friends is "Safety first, then as dumb as you want to be". For the most part we all have jobs, families, life that takes a majority of our time. Making sure we get back to them is the objective.
