Heal up soon dude!  If you are off the bike and trying to be heart-friendly, try this madness: cut sugar out of your diet. Completely. You won't put on weight, you can eat and drink anything you want (beer included) but no sugar, so no fructose to feck with your system. 

You might feel a bit weird (or drunk if you straight swap sugar comfort eating for beer drinking) but I'm enjoying the journey.
